History: Lainey was the third child of Dingo and Cady. She was a very gentle and loving pup who always looked out for her siblings. She had great maternal instinct, and whenever she and her siblings would play “house,” or, the dog version of house, she would always be the mom. So, it made perfect sense that when she was older, she realized what her true dream in life was: to have puppies. Growing up, she wanted a family so badly and got puppy fever whenever she saw young pups running the streets of Nome. However, after a trip to the vet, Lainey and her owners got bad news: she was not able to bear children. Lainey was heartbroken and felt that her dreams were shattered. To make things worse, her boyfriend at the time, Kibo, dumped her because he also wanted a family, but Lainey was not able to give him what he wanted. Lainey was depressed by all these bad circumstances, but things started to look up when her family adopted a Chinook named Jasper to be a companion for Lainey. Eventually, Jasper and Lainey fell in love, and Jasper loved Lainey even though she could not bear puppies. However, one day, Lainey and Jasper spotted two malamute puppies, a girl named Lupa and a boy named Weston eating food in an alleyway. They were clearly starving as they had to resort to eating food from the trash, and their ribcages were visible. After approaching the pups, Lainey and Jasper learned that the pups’ parents were killed in a sledding accident, and they were orphaned. Lainey and Jasper decided to adopt the pups as their own, and Lainey was overjoyed that her dream had come true. They brought the pups home and their owners decided to feed them and give them shelter after seeing how starved they were, and when the pups were old enough, they were sold off to good homes. However, Lupa and Weston made sure to always visit their adopted parents whom they called “mom” and “dad,” and Lainey considered them to be quite literally a dream come true.
