Name: Larsen

Age: Same as Kodi and Aleu

Species: Alaskan Malamute

Parents: Klondike and Sadie

Siblings: Kita, possibly others

Mate: TBA

Pups: TBA

Personality: Very mellow and quiet, Larsen doesn’t talk much. When he does, he’s very soft-spoken. If he doesn’t know you that well, the only way to get a word out of him is by talking to him first. He is a sweetheart, though, and cares a lot about others. He could be described as a “gentle giant;” he wouldn’t harm a fly. He’s hardworking and driven, and beats himself up when he feels he doesn’t do a good job. He somewhat lacks confidence in himself. He’s quite smart, and knows a lot of tricks, not just the typical “sit” and “stay.”

Likes: Fresh snow, running, napping by the fireplace, the boiler room, treats

Dislikes: Being the center of attention, failure, bears

History: Larsen was born to two malamutes named Klondike and Sadie. Both were sled dogs, and so Larsen was trained to be one as well. He was adopted by a young man who trained sled dogs, but also taught the dogs a lot of obedience skills; thus, Larsen ended up being an extremely well-behaved dog who knew pretty much every trick in the book. He got a job as the swing dog on Nome’s mail team when he was about one and a half. All the other dogs on the team were very nice to him, but Larsen was very shy and would just keep to himself. The only dog he really became close with on the team was Shiloh, the other wheel dog. The two became quite good friends, and usually just stuck to themselves, since Larsen was so shy and Shiloh had a weird dislike for Kodi. Eventually, Larsen and Shiloh were both shipped off to Nenana to be sled dogs for a team carrying medicine.

Relation to Balto: Kodi’s teammate (appears in Balto 3)
