Name: Cikuq
Age: A year older than Balto and Jenna
Species: Siberian Husky
Parents: TBA
Siblings: TBA
Mate: Mitzi
Pups: Dash, Dusty, and Niko
Personality: Very gruff and stern. He does have a fun side, but Mitzi is pretty much the only one who has seen it frequently. He can be a big grouch, but deep down inside he is quite caring. He looks down upon strays and mutts, particularly wolf hybrids. He had a hard time accepting Kodi as his daughter’s mate, but eventually he came around to him and became more accepting of wolfdogs. He has strong integrity and when he starts something, he works tirelessly until he finishes it.
Likes: Racing, winning, meat, sleeping, laying by the fireplace
Dislikes: Cheaters, moochers, dishonesty, wolfdogs and hybrids (initially), strays, Steele
History: Cikuq was born to two sled dog parents and was raised into that lifestyle as well. Due to his strength and large body built, he turned out to be a good wheel dog. Originally, he served as the wheel dog of Nome’s mail team, but at around two, he was put on one of the top racing teams in Nome. His team was quite talented, and they often found themselves making it to the championships every year, but they were always beat out by Steele and his team. Cikuq knew Steele was a dirty cheater and hated him and his three “henchmen,” Nikki, Kaltag, and Star, whom Cikuq felt were pretty stupid, to say the least.
Cikuq hated Balto simply because he was half wolf, but unlike Steele, he wouldn’t bully Balto; instead, he would just ignore and avoid him. After the Serum Run, Cikuq gained some more respect for Balto, but was still leery about him and other wolf hybrids. However, he had greater things to focus on, like his new girlfriend Mitzi. She was the polar opposite of Cikuq — while Cikuq was gruff and serious, Mitzi was excitable and bubbly — and it was a wonder the two of them even saw something in each other. But they did, and they eventually had a litter of puppies, one of them being Dusty.
All three of Cikuq’s children were trained to be sled dogs, and Cikuq was especially proud of Dusty since she joined the same mail team that Cikuq was a part of when he was her age. Dusty was the apple of Cikuq’s eye and he always looked over her with a watchful eye, though Dusty proved time and time again she could take care of herself. Cikuq wasn’t too happy when Dusty started seeing Kodi, the son of half-wolf Balto. However, he saw how much Kodi cared about Dusty, and accepted Kodi as a member of the family, letting go of his prejudice against wolfdogs. As he got a bit older in life, particularly when his grandpups were born, he grew more easygoing and approachable towards people.
Relation to Balto: Dusty’s father
