Name: Fritz
Age: Same as Balto
Species: 1/2 Siberian Husky, 1/2 Gray Wolf
Siblings: Togo and Balto (biological) // Malakai, others (half)
Mate: Tillie
Pups: Harry
Appearance: Fritz is very light brown in color with an even lighter underbelly. His face is entirely the color of his main pelt except for his muzzle and two patches over his eyes which are light gray in color. The insides of his ears are also light gray. His leg markings go around halfway down his leg and he has large, wolf-like paws. He has thin, scruffy fur and a flowy wolf-like tail. He has auburn eyes.
Personality: Fritz is kind, outgoing, and loyal. He’s a bit of a chicken, and tries to seem more macho than he actually is. He can get apprehensive pretty easily and isn’t as good at keeping his cool in tough situations like Togo is. However, if a loved one is in danger, he will muster up all the courage he has to help them. He’s determined and hardworking, and although he looks up to his older brother Togo, he doesn’t exactly try to imitate his every move; he’s satisfied with being his own person and is proud of who he is. He also has a playful side to him and can be quite silly.
Likes: Running, sleeping, treats, making friends, winning, puppies, belly rubs, playing
Dislikes: Ice, bears, being alone, not knowing where his family is, bullies
History: Fritz was born in the wilderness near Nome to a husky named Barrow and a wolf named Aniu. He was the middle child, and had two brothers named Togo and Balto. Unfortunately, Barrow was forced to leave with his sled team before Fritz and his brothers were born, so Fritz grew up fatherless. Aniu wanted to leave her pack and meet Barrow in his hometown of Elim so that the family could be reunited, and also because her pack would kill the pups if anyone found out she had mated with a dog. So, Aniu headed off to Elim with her three sons, but at some point during a snowstorm, Balto got separated from the group. Aniu was devastated, thinking perhaps Balto died, and continued on with her two older sons. She made it to Elim but never met up with Barrow there, as he was sold off to a team in Koyuk before she arrived. When it finally hit Aniu that Barrow was nowhere to be seen, she made the painful choice to leave Togo and Fritz at someone’s doorstep, knowing they needed to live a life of their own rather than constantly follow Aniu around as she searched for her mate.
The person whose doorstep the pups were left in front of happened to be a musher, although he was not the same musher as the one Barrow had. Seeing the two shivering puppies at his doorstep tugged at his heartstrings and he brought Togo and Fritz in to help them warm up. Seeing how fast the pups returned to their normal state, the musher believed they would make good sled dogs one day. So, as Togo and Fritz got older, the musher trained them in hopes that one day they could be a part of his racing team. Once they hit one year old, both Togo and Fritz got a spot on the team and helped their team to win many championships. Fritz was never as strong of a sled dog as Togo, but was content with his spot on the team and was never envious of Togo. Eventually, Togo became lead dog of the team, and Fritz was right behind him as one of the team dogs. Fritz soon became close with other team dog, Tillie, but couldn’t tell if she liked him back, or even if she was the right girl for him. Besides, Togo liked Tillie too and Fritz didn’t want to get in the way of that.
One day, Tillie confessed that she liked Fritz, but all the wolfdog could do was stammer and run away because he was afraid of upsetting Togo. But Togo gave Fritz his blessing to go out with Tillie, and soon they became mates. They then had a son named Harry. Fritz thought it was ironic how he was now a father, and he didn’t even know what it was like to have a father himself. However, one day, Barrow came to Elim on a small sledding trip, and Fritz was finally able to meet his father. Fritz was overjoyed that he could finally meet his father and finally understand why he made the ultimate sacrifice to leave his family. Barrow had done it out of love, and it only made Fritz admire his father more. He was happy to have finally gotten closure with his father. Not too long after, Fritz and Togo's team made it to the finals in an all-Alaska hampionship race, and there they ran into Balto, whose team happened to be in the finals as well. Togo and Fritz were shocked to see their youngest brother, who they thought had died long ago. But the three brothers instantly rejoiced at seeing each other, happy that their family was together again.
