History: Alasie was the fourth pup to be born in Kiska and Tungsten’s litter. Growing up, she loved hearing stories about her family, such as when her grandfather saved the town, when Tungsten saved Balto from a bear, and when her parents and grandparents drove the evil Steele out of town. She eventually loved coming up with stories of her own and telling them to others. At eight weeks old she was adopted by a boy named Caleb who liked her because he thought her eyepatches made her look like a pirate. Caleb proved to have a very big imagination as well, so the two became attached at the hip.
As she grew older, Alasie proved to be a strong and fast dog like her parents, so she joined a team of sled dogs that transported fuel used for automobiles and the newfangled “airplane” her grandfather Balto was so enamored with. She quickly adjusted to being on the team and made friends with all her teammates, but always loved returning home to Caleb. However, one day after one of her sled runs, she came home and found that Caleb wasn’t there. She heard his parents fretting, and realized he was missing. She immediately left the house in search for her boy, and followed his scent until she reached an abandoned building…which was on fire. One of her teammates, who had gone with her to help find Caleb, insisted that Alasie stay back, because the fire was so huge that Caleb was bound to be dead. But Alasie still had hope that he was alive, and went against her teammate’s wishes and ran into the burning building. Alasie felt terrified for both herself and her boy, but soon found him crying out for help. She went to him and led him out of the building, right in the nick of time before it collapsed entirely. Alasie was labeled a hero, but all she cared about was that her boy was now safe and sound.
A while later, Alasie met a lone wolf named Kilaun who was searching for a pack. Seeing that he was all by himself in the cold winter, Alasie offered him a place in the boiler room for the night and even gave him some of her food. Once morning came around, Kilaun slipped away before Alasie got the chance to talk to him, and Alasie was disappointed, as she liked Kilaun and hoped he would return. Luckily he did, as Kilaun had developed feelings for Alasie. Alasie soon reciprocated those feelings, and they started going out, but kept their relationship a secret especially from the humans, because she didn't want Kilaun getting hurt. Eventually the two became mates, and Alasie realized there was nothing to worry about, as her owners decided to take Kilaun in after seeing he was a docile wolf simply in need of a home. Caleb was very happy to own a pet wolf!
Relation to Balto: Balto and Steele’s granddaughter
