His underbelly is cream, and a darker cream color surrounds his muzzle in the same pattern as the cream markings on Kiska’s muzzle. His facial markings are like Jenna’s, but the white “point” goes up beyond his forehead. His leg markings are like Steele’s and Ferric’s, they don’t go very far down his leg. His fur is the thinnest and scruffiest out of all his siblings, but not as thin as Balto’s.

History: Ferric was the youngest pup in Kiska and Tungsten’s first litter. Growing up, he loved running, and was adopted by a musher who trained him to be a sled dog. Ironically, Ferric was the only pup in his litter that was put on a sled team, despite both of his parents being on the mail team. As he got older, Ferric was placed on the team that Steele, Nikki, Kaltag, Star, and his grandpa Balto were once a part of. He enjoyed everything about being on the team except for Ayla, the bossy, demanding lead dog. Ayla's grandfather had been a champion race dog, and Ayla used this information to make the other dogs think she was superior to them. Ferric didn’t like Ayla’s attitude and the two initially didn’t get along. He would often act snarky around Ayla or flat out defy her.
To make things more complicated in Ferric’s life, his evil grandfather Steele returned to Nome. Steele seemed remorseful about his past mistakes, and some of Ferric’s siblings such as Kenai and Naira believed he had good intentions, but Ferric was a little suspicious. One day, Steele snapped at Ferric and told him he ashamed that the grandson who took his place on the racing team was just a “scrawny mutt,” and Ferric blew into a fit of range and provoked a fight with his grandfather. However, Steele was much stronger than Ferric and beat the wolfdog up, leaving him injured in an alleyway. About twenty minutes later, Tungsten found his son laying unconscious, his fur stained with blood. He nudged Ferric until he woke up, and Ferric groggily explained to Tungsten what happened. It was then that the family realized Steele was up to no good, and they found out his real reason for returning to Nome was to kill Kiska and her unborn second litter since she ruined his bloodline with “wolf blood.” Eventually, Balto and Jenna chased Steele out of Nome, and the black and white husky was never heard from again. Two weeks later, Kiska gave birth to her second litter.
After Ferric was well enough to run again, he quickly noticed that Ayla had gotten a lot nicer to him. He assumed it was because she felt bad about his injury, but one of Ferric’s friends on the team told him it was because Ayla finally realized how much Ferric contributed to the team when they lost a race while Ferric was still in recovery. Then, on the day of the team’s championship race, the opposing team got lost and somehow ended up on a patch of thin ice. It was up to Ferric, Ayla, and the rest of their team to save them. Ayla finally realized the importance of being a team player rather than being a boss, and she and Ferric gained a lot of respect for each other that day. The two eventually put their grudges to the side and started to become friends, and over time, something more.
Relation to Balto: Balto’s grandson
