Appearance: Willow looks like a good mix between Kodi and Dusty. Her main pelt color is like Dusty’s, but darker and warmer in color. Her underbelly color is a light brown similar to Kodi’s. Her facial markings are like her mother’s except the gray stripe does not go all the way down her muzzle. She has brown eyes like Kodi. She is short and stout like Dusty, but noticeably smaller than her siblings since she is the runt of the litter. Her leg markings match Kodi’s, and she has large, wolf-like paws like him. Her tail curls up like Dusty’s.

Personality: Willow is a very determined dog who stops at nothing. She has faced lots of adversity in life being the runt of the litter, but this has only made her grow stronger. She is very much a papa’s girl, but loves her mother as well. She can be a bit naive, but is mature when needed. She is very playful, along with sweet and loving, and would do anything for those she loves. She is also outgoing and enjoys making new friends.

History: Willow was the last puppy to be born in Kodi and Dusty’s litter. Being the runt of the litter, she was the smallest and the weakest, and couldn’t run as fast and hard as her siblings. However, she still loved to run and tried her best to keep up with her brothers and sister. Kodi took a shining to her because he too was once the weakest pup of his own litter. Eventually, Willow got adopted by a family who had a young boy and girl who also loved to run, so Willow spend a lot of time running outside with them. Oftentimes, she would sneak out of her home to watch the dogsled races with her brother, Prudhoe; she became enamored by the races and realized that she wanted to be on a racing team. 

    However, having a weaker body than the average husky meant that Willow often faced obstacles while training to be on the team. She often doubted herself, but Kodi always encouraged her. The two of them would spend hours a day running on the beach the way Kodi did with his own father when he was younger. Willow stopped at nothing, and sometimes she wouldn’t give up until she literally collapsed in the sand. Spending all this time with her dad also helped the two of them to form a strong bond. However, this upset Kivalina, who felt Kodi often overlooked her and favored Willow over her. She grew cold towards her family, particularly Willow and Kodi, and with the exception of Atka. She would often greet Willow coldly and make a backhanded remark towards her. However, Kivalina took things a bit too far when she attacked Willow one night and injured Willow’s leg. To make things even worse, it was the night before the race to determine who would be the newest dogs on Nome’s racing team.         

    Willow was devastated to not be able to participate in the race she had been training so hard for. She fell into a slump and hardly left her house. Eventually she made a full recovery, but still felt saddened that she would have to wait at least another year to be on the sled team since she missed the race. However, she was even more hurt that her sister would do such a terrible thing to her. Eventually Kivalina apologized after seeing how depressed her sister had gotten, and the two sisters mended their broken relationship. Willow resumed her training with her father, who reassured Willow by telling her that by next year, she’d be even stronger and would have an even greater chance of being on the team.   

     Eventually, another year rolled around, and Willow finally won a spot on the racing team. Her dreams of being a racing dog were coming true, and she couldn’t be happier with all the new friends she made on the team. Eventually, she fell for Zeus, a dog on a rival team who was teammates with her cousin Ferric, and the son of her father's best friend Kirby. This put her at odds with some of her teammates for a little while, but eventually they supported Willow’s relationship with him after Zeus and his team helped to rescue Willow's team during a race. The two eventually became mates and had puppies.

Relation to Balto: His granddaughter (Kodi and Dusty's daughter)
