Personality: Meri is a very sassy and "word ready" young dog who ist'n afraid to speak her mind or defend herself. She is clever, brave and friendly, and very loyal to those she feel like deserve it, and she has a kind of sense of humor others might not always get and might sometimes find a bit offensive, even though she never means anything bad by it.

Likes: Kodi, her pups, walking on the beach and watching the northern lights. 

Dislikes: Humans, anyone who mistreats her friends, flirty males.

Story: Meri was born to a litter of 4, and was adopted by a young woman, who however ended up abandonding her when she was just a little pup. From that on she never trusted another human again, and learned how to fend for herself from a very young age. She grew up in the streets of Nome, learning how to snatch food from the butcher's shop, and developed a street wise attitude as she grew into a young adult. A lot of males in town noticed her, but Meri was never interested in anyone who attempted to flirt with her, nor was she interested in any sort of romance for that matter. One day, the weather was really cold, it was in early spring and it was snowing, and Meri had no luck finding shelter. Finally she curled up in the alley behind the post office, and was in danger of freezing to death, when a young wolfdog named Kodi found her. Realizing she had nowhere to stay for the night, he took her to the boiler room, and even fetched her some food and brought a blanket to keep her warm. He stayed with her that night to make sure she was alright, and the next morning, when she woke up, Meri thanked him for all his help and quickly took off, leaving Kodi all confused and puzzled. She was confused as well, as that was the first true act of kindness anyone had ever showed her, and she was curious to see him again - then she realized that he was the son of the famous Balto, and a member of the mail team. Meri was walking on the beach one day, when she saw Kodi having fun with the rest of the mail team, and talking to a female husky, and while she would never admit it out loud, she felt a tad jealous. They bumped into each other at the town later, and Meri jokingly asked Kodi where he had left his girlfriend, to which Kodi, with an annoyed tone, responded that they were just friends. As they got to know each other better, Meri loved teasing Kodi about how he was all about work, work, work, and tried to show him that there were other things in life than just delivering mail, and slowly, they started to develope something more stronger than just friendship, and Kodi started getting intrigued by her care free attitude and realised that he needed to chill a little bit. Eventually, the more they spent time together, the more stronger their feelings for one another grew, and finally, they realized that they were in love, and became mates, and later they had four pups together.
