Personality:He's pretty lazy for an athlete. He often complains about strenuous work, and doesn't usually push his limits unless he has a strong motive to do so. When Dingo finds determination, his tenacity is off the charts, meaning he won't give up until he gets what he wants. This can lead to him becoming disillusioned with unrealistic goals.

History

We all know the spiel; one of Balto and Jenna's pups, grew up good, and adopted off. What happened after adoption day is where we pick up on Dingo's story. He was trained to be a sled dog racer (no surprise there) and had no real goals for it. In fact, he was mostly disinterested in it, and often became frustrated whenever he met up with Kodi, because Kodi wanted to be a good sleddog, whereas Dingo found it boring and pointless.

It wasn't until Dingo was a teen that he began to work hard, when he met Kenan. Kenan had ran into Dingo and the two kissed accidentally. Dingo was completely flustered by Kenan, and wanted to make him feel as embarassed as Dingo was at that moment (not like Kenan was already humiliated at that time) so he decided that he'd train hard and eventually beat Kenan in one way or another.

So it turned into a crazy competition and rivalry between the two. Bone chewing contests, races, strength challenges, you name it and those two boys did it. It usually ended in a stalemate when Dingo played fair (if he played dirty, he usually lost) but always ended with Dingo fostering more ire for Kenan.

Eventually the two boys were combined onto the same team for a winter race. Dingo and Kenan dueled it out for the lead position. Dingo didn't want to be a leader, but wanted to simply be recognized as superior to Kenan in something. Dingo's motives eventually evolved from wishing Kenan to lose to Dingo wanting to win, without Dingo's realization.

Dingo starts to lose himself to his resentment of Kenan, eventually clouding his good judgement. Dingo begins falling down a slippery slope of desperation and goes so far as to sabotage the entire team while crossing thin ice. This ends poorly when Dingo's plan turns for the worst and he starts to drown while strapped to the sled. Kenan is able to keep Dingo from drowning at his own risk of drowning too, which causes Kenan to confront Dingo.

Dingo eventually explains with true sorrow that he simply wanted a chance to be validated for his own skills rather than compared to Kenan's, which leads to Kenan admitting that he had always felt the same way with Dingo. The two reconcile, and begin a new chapter together as best friends with a healthy dose of competition between the two.
