Characteristics

Personality: Pessimistic, cynical, reserved, and depressed. Lux has a pretty bleak outlook on life, with little to no sense of hope or happiness in his heart. This extent of his outlook was something that he wasn't necessarily born with, but it grew as time passed. Lux has a darkness he is burdened with that is deep in his heart, and it is something that no matter how much he wishes to be rid of, he can't get rid of it. On his good days, he's antisocial and moody, on his bad days his outright rude and irritated.
Talents/ Abilities: Lux is strong enough to be a warrior, but he lacks the drive and committment to become one, meaning that he packs way more of a punch than regular hunters and huntresses.
Weaknesses: Lux lacks drive and committment to work towards anything since he doesn't have very many things he values or desires. This often leads to him losing sight of his goals.

Fears: Never finding or feeling anything remotely positive, losing what does make him feel alive and happy

History

Lux was born the middle pup of the litter and was the only boy. His uncles had high hopes for many boys in the litter, and were quickly dissatisfied with Lux who was generally passive and without any fighting spirit, which made him a fairly weak warrior. When he was just a newborn, Lux's uncle, Ethon, helped Lux, his littermates, and his mother escape the Anevay Pack and move north.

Lux was raised by his mother alongside his sisters, and at a young age he showed little enjoyment or happiness of life. It worried his mother how laconic and moody he was as a pup, and it only evolved into full out depression by the time he was a teen. Lux eventually decided to leave his mother and sisters and travel to find and feel happiness.

Lux travels all across Alaska but no matter where he goes, he never finds or feels anything to give him a sense of purpose or worth, until he returns to the Nome area where he finds his father, Jimmy, in the Alsoome Pack. There, Lux meets Nitti and Dreamer, two wolves roughly his own age that become his hunting partners. (Nitti is my version of the red Aleu twin of Balto's first litter.) As the days pass, Jimmy notices the gloom that shrouds Lux's heart and intervenes to help Lux fight the burdens he carries. Jimmy himself notes that he is not so different from Lux in that without any feeling of love or pleasure, he would be heartless. So Jimmy, along with some support of Circe, help push Lux into spending time with Nitti and Dreamer in the hopes of him falling for one of them.

Eventually, Lux forms a strong friendship with Dreamer which unknowingly to him becomes love. As Lux fosters feelings for Dreamer, he doesn't really realize what he has until he almost loses it. After almost losing Dreamer, Lux realizes how important she is to him and accepts his feelings for her. The two become mates, living our their lives in the Alsoome Pack.
