Biography
Background & Early Life
Himesh is born the second-youngest in Balto and Jenna's second litter, in the year of 1927. From a young age, Himesh and his brothers were raised with their father’s history over their heads, but without the knowledge of their heritage.
He and his siblings were sold when they turned eight weeks old, Himesh bought by a musher to compete in various races as he grew older. From time to time, Himesh found himself leaning towards the company of his older brothers, Kodi and Ronan, who both share the same interests and goals and show Himesh respect.
Personality and traits
Himesh is nothing like the majority of his siblings. He is sweet and honest, but not particularly naive. He’s aware of his father’s history and eventually his heritage, but that doesn’t change his opinions towards him. He’s no stranger to his older brothers’ schemes and wants nothing to do with it. Himesh isn’t one to immediately shove his heritage into someone’s face. Actually, he can be quite unproud of his immediate popularity in Nome. He wishes for someone to respect him for who he is and not who his parents and siblings are.
When strapped to a harness, Himesh can be very competitive, but not in extreme cases. In fact, he dislikes those who cheat or are sore losers. He’s always had a passion for running and enjoys the thrill of competition. He doesn’t really care if he wins or loses, but he always gives his best effort for his team. He wishes one day to become lead dog of his team, a goal his older brother Kodi achieved.
During a frenzied situation or crisis, Himesh is known for being impassive and calm, and is able to emit his soothing essence to those around him. Towards strangers, he remains friendly and inviting, but at the same time is careful with what he reveals. He is also noted for being very persistent and patient with certain people and situations, especially those most wouldn’t wish to deal with.
He can be quite apprehensive when taking charge of situations, thinking he may not be up for the position of leadership. But he remains very cooperative during tricky tasks and is willing to lead those who seem insecure or uncomfortable. He is trusting to those around him and is very trustworthy in return. He never backs out on promises and always tries to keep his word, no matter the cost.
He can be notably awkward and tends to stutter when he’s nervous, but mostly because he’s trying to hold his composure or image. However, he is very loyal and protective of those he loves and wouldn’t hesitate to give his own life for them. In short, he is very kind, humble, and laid-back. He tries to be noble to his friends, and would never leave one behind. He can also be quite funny, but usually never on purpose.
Himesh is very slow to anger or goad, and less likely to express it when it arises. However, when someone he loves is threatened, he won’t hesitate to jump in their defense to protect them. He will ensure the safety of those he loves, especially if his buttons are repeatingly pressed. He can be very lenient and willing to compromise, even with those he dislikes. However, he absolutely hates being manipulated or forced to obey, especially if he believes it’s wrong.
When dwelling on his family, Himesh makes efforts again and again to reestablish his bond with his older brothers. He’s had a rocky relationship with them ever since he was younger, minus Saba, Kodi, and Ronan. He can’t stand Yukon and Barrow, who have always mocked him and others ever since they were young. Because of this, he is often judged for being the soft one in the family and by those who don’t have a warm relationship with his siblings. Despite this, Himesh loves his parents very much and admires them for being who they are. He doesn’t blame them for his siblings’ behavior, but he sometimes wishes they’d prevent it from continuing.
His polite demeanor and usage of correct grammar attracts many females, many of which were his suitors, but he only turns them down with courtesy. He’s not one to search for attention, and he tries to avoid it above everything else. However, when the moment presents itself, he won’t be scared to introduce himself to the female he finds attractive, but the chances of that occurring have always been very high. If it’s any relationship he’s searching for, it’s one of commitment and trust, and someone whom he’ll stay with for life.
Etymology
