Personality: Despite her show dog background, Selena is very nice. She is kind to others and had no  problem standing up for them. However, she had always been unable to stand up for herself and make her own decisions because her life had always been set for her. Once abandoned in Nome, she was able to overcome that and speak for herself. 

Likes: Family, being a show dog, puppies

Hates: Her brother-in-law, mean dogs

Fears: The forest, being abandoned completely

History: Selena was born in a kennel of Golden Retriever show dogs in Anchorage, AK. She was trained from the time she was a puppy to be in the arena and win. She was set to be bred with a male show dog in the kennel but it never happened due to what happened in Nome. Her owners brought her along on a three week trip to visit family there. She met Gunner (Steele's brother) with whom she fell in love. She fell pregnant and her owners were horrified to see that she had mated with a dog of a different breed. They left her behind in Nome where she was taken in by her ex-owners family. She was able to live happily with Gunner and have her puppies until they were adopted out.
