As she grew up in the mill she had no clue why she was there. but she watched other dogs have litters and talked to them though her cage, they warned her about what the owner wanted the females for. but she wasn't concerned until she was 6 months old. that's when she was first bred and Conceived her first litter, she was scared and had no one there to help her. that's when her first son Kato was born. she doesn't remember much of this litter because when they where born the owner of the mill took them all but kato away form her. she was bred three times while she was in the mill. her second litter none of the puppies survived because they where small and weak... so the owner took them all and killed them. she was becoming depressed, she even tried to kill herself once because of it, but her mother snapped her out of it. when she turned two years old and was already bearing a third litter her mother showed hr a way for her to escape, by a hole in her cage. as she escaped she was nearly killed by her father, but Aurum had fought Ash and led Sapphire to safety, while Sapphire traveled Aurum recommended that they go to Nome where he worked. but when they got to Nome sapphire was in grave condition... she was desperately thin and about to give birth. That was the litter where coal was born. Sapphire and Aurum became quick friends as he helped her raise her pups, although she was timid around him when she had her pups, she trusted him.

My guess here, Dogmaster22, is that you misunderstood where happystool
was in terms of what I and Mighty said. Because, while I don't mean
to put happystool down (because I know she's trying to do her job as a
mod), she was saying that what Mighty said was unnecessary because,
the way she saw it, there was nothing wrong with the grammatical
errors in your material, and that there is no reason for them to be
corrected here by anyone. She didn't do it maliciously, and neither
did Mighty. This was a position happystool maintained in her response to me. So I replied, the second time, just to clarify and perhaps to help. To clear up your apparent interpretation of my comments, I wasn't contradicting Mighty. If anything, I was agreeing with what she did, and was supporting her. I hope that now resolves this debate with finality. |

this was more of a little argument (not a fight) over something mighty said... which he was trying to help me out with some grammatical mistakes that where in Sapphire's backstory, and would make it flow better... that's what constructive criticism is, you don't have to accept it, but it can be used of the person feel like it was useful in any way. I always enjoy receiving critiques on my work, they are very helpful if used in a constructive manner, mighty was not rude about it, she just wanted to help. but happystool wanted to interject they're opinion, which was ok also, they were just defending they're opinion... I know you don't have any gripe against me, i was just requesting that this quarrel be resolved and everyone be happy again, when ever someone posts anything on the internet there will be poeple who have they're own opinion on it, they may like it, or they may suggest something that could be changed, such as mightybalto and happystool did. I appreciate the help Jersey. I was just making it clear that im not lazy when it comes to me writing something... |

I don't think we need to view this as a "fight". I certainly didn't.
That's a big problem here...many people presuming that any contrary
discussion or debate must, therefore, either be a fight, a flame war
or any other kind of harassment or some such thing. I was only
injecting a bit of logic here. My key points: 1. if someone is willing to help, and offers either constructive criticism and/or suggestions, there should be no reason for any staffer to come back with "I think it's fine the way it is, and any corrections can occur in the home or at school". That just potentially quashes any supportive effort made by another member; 2. if the member who created the material is receptive to help (again, as Dogmaster22 is), then why should there even be a need to put the cabosh on an effort by another member to help, or a potentially dismissive opinion of it? 3. Happystool, you say yourself that you frequently monitor "users like this", but that "I usually don't handle these types of situations, as I'm not sure how to help improve grammar." Okay, noted. Monitoring is a good thing for a moderator to do. But if you are unsure of how to help a user improve their grammar use, is it such a bad thing for another member to offer, who maybe can? I'm not trying to fight with you, Happystool. Not at all. And Dogmaster22, I have no gripe against you. I thought I complimented you on your willingness to accept help. I was speaking more generally in my first post, about members who don't use good grammar out of laziness. I wasn't specifically referring to you. As with Mighty, I'm only trying to help. And in this case, I'd be glad to also, if it is needed or requested. |

JerseyCaptain- I've seen worse grammar than this, and I know members
who don't have English as a native language should accept any help.
But there are some members who won't accept it/don't care/aren't aware
of their mistakes because no one tells them and will fight us (mods &
other members alike) about it. I'm not trying to fight you about it,
I'm just saying that I could read it fairly well without having to
question what the member was trying to say. I monitor users like this
all the time, and no one ever does anything about it because the
content isn't activated or it's deleted/redone in due time, I usually
don't handle these types of situations, as I'm not sure how to help
improve grammar, so it's usually left as is unfortunately |

I'm always accepting of new information that might make my
characters/art more interesting, and I enjoy people giving me
constructive criticism, which in fact mightybalto gave me, so I used
the criticism to update my mistakes. Also Sapphire has been in the
works for about a year and a half now, she has been updated multiple
times since then. Also I am a 17 year old Junior in high school, I
should be able to speak my native language, but everyone makes
mistakes. also the way I originally wrote her back story was rushed,
but I recently updated it, I hope that resolved this whole dilemma...
I don't appreciate people fighting over something so trivial as a few
grammatical mistakes... |

Which does not negate the fact that a helping hand, as Mighty was
offering, and which Dogmaster22 seemed interested in accepting, is a
bad thing, happystool. It is a site rule that a member must try their
best in constructing their characters (and other information) before
submitting a fan creation. I am quite certain of that (though I
cannot quote it). Either way, it makes sense. Other people are here
to help if a person needs assistance with proper character creation
and so on. Though people shouldn't be serving as surrogate English
language teachers...especially to native speakers, who have an
obligation to know better regardless of whether they're 10, 13, 18 or
25, and so on. Even at 10, most native speakers know how to construct
a grammatically-correct sentence in their own language. It's whether
or not they choose to consciously do so that is at issue. And, in
many cases, they often just get lazy (no inferences being made about
this particular member however) because "it's just the internet". |

I see no problem with the information, I can read it perfectly fine
and know what's going on Yes, there are a couple misspelled words, but there always going to be misspelled words on fan content, my own as well, especially if they're younger members There might be some members who aren't corrected on some spellings, which is why there's spell check and dictionaries Grammar issues can also be fixed at home, if they really want to do some touched ups, or at school in writing/reading/English class |

I understand, everything has room for improvement, when i wrote this
it was kinda rushed... and my grammar isn't the best either , if you
have any suggestions on how i could make the content better feel free
to share them with me. |

I'm not attacking your character, but it has room for improvement
content-wise. The grammar needs to be improved upon, as it doesn't flow very well, nor is it correct. There's also the way you're presenting your character that makes her appear rushed. Take your time and add details to help the readers understand your character better. Adding details also prevents a character from being bland and uninteresting. |
" Yes, there are a couple misspelled words, but there always going to be misspelled words on fan content, my own as well, especially if they're younger members"
But everyone makes mistakes, there is always flaws with everything ^^
You did help, and i appreciate it, i'm sorry if i'm dragging this on...
I know you weren't contradicting what mighty said, i understood completely what you where saying.
I hope this debate is resolved ^^ im sorry if i sounded like i wasn't happy about you helping out
