Appearance:   Monty looks like an ordinary street dog who does not have own breed. Has a dark gray (almost black) color hair, face and abdomen gray. Paws fully painted, on the face he has one the strip (on nose). Rather small and shaggy dog. Monti has extremely small wolf traits. He more looks like a dog.

Personality:  Of all his brothers and sister, he is the oldest (he was born on the very first). Due to his youthful playfulness (and possibly due to the fact that his mother at the time of pregnancy is small and bad eating, and was exhausted because of the poor conditions), Monty often runs with his mouth open (with the language at the ready), and sometimes he seems a little silly to look at. In fact, Monty is quite clever and hilarious. He is a good and reliable guard.

Likes:   Watch dogsled, try yourself in this role, to play with master's children and be their nanny, patrol the area and guard the house.

Dislikes:  when someone ignores him, violence, Steele's fraud,  the arrogance of many dogs about the pure breed.

History:  Was found in the basement of the hospital, as well as all the other puppies. Believing that the mother could not take care of them (because she was very much exhausted) and will soon die (and help it was too late), the people decided to take the puppies. Of the four, they have only two (what happened to the rest of the puppies, no one knew), and when they grow up and open their eyes, they will take a good family. Who found the puppies realized that their father was a wolf, but they did not talk about it to new owners. Monty and his brother Chester did everything together, but when the time came, they were separated. Monty really wanted to see again his dear brother. And though Monty was a wonderful partner for the games and for guarding of house, the owner wanted to teach the dog to race, but to no avail. Monty was very slow and could not participate. So he did not come to work with the shipping, because there was not enough endurance. Slow, weak loser. He was also quite awkward and unsure of himself. Before other dogs. Many simply did not allow him to come to inspect the races. He found as a weak and unreliable by other dogs (even though he's a great guard dog). However, he was very lucky. After all, no one knew (except for some people) that Monty is a half-breed. Monty loved to watch the antics of a clever Balto. One winter, team lost traveling from one city to Nome, transport goods and food. Because of the blizzard, they lost in the woods. When Monty heard from one of the huskies the name "Chester", he quickly and recklessly ran into a snowstorm to find them. As it turned out, team surrounded pack of hungry wolves, which can not come only because of bonfire. The leader of a dog sled disappeared in the darkness, was heard only delicate squeal. Musher could not wake up because of the cold, the rest dogs waiting in the wings. Large male wolf slowly crept up on him, suppressing fear of fire and increasing fear in dogs. Monty saw among dogs his brother and rushed to their aid. He bristled and snarled at the wolf. Wolf did a quick attacks and unpredictable attack. Monty was afraid, because all sled dogs quite small and insignificant in comparison with the powerful northern wolves. But it has felt a mysterious force inside him. He rushed to the wolf, biting him in the shoulder and in the face, but the wolf was stronger and more resourceful. He grabbed the dog by the neck and threw toward the tree, Monty got up quickly and, despite the bruises and wounds from powerful wolf's fangs, Monty stood between dogs and wolves and closing by own body own brother. Monty looked straight into the eyes of the evil gray predator and, having made a jump and pushed the wolf into the fire. Awakened drover of a dog team saw Monty's a brave act  and began throwing burning sticks in a pack, which, together with seared wolf disappeared into the woods. The next morning the blizzard stopped. Musher took Monty and put on a sledge, then team moved off the path. Monty was cured. Musher told the owner about  Monty's bravery, the owner will never leave your dog. He was worried about his pet. Children, in turn, decided to make a gift for Monty. They made him not only a room in the barn, but also a couple of interesting loopholes. Other dogs began to show respect, but Monty is most important was that he found his brother.

Relation to Balto:  Monty is Balto's cousin (but Monty doesn't know that he is part wolf, that he is remote relative of a dog-hero).
