History:

Dik was born in the Golden City of L.A., however he was only able to get to know his two story apartment and a few streets before his owner, a man in his 30s with a history in animal care, decided to move to Nome, seeking a more relaxed lifestyle, and based off the fact some family of his lived in Alaska. Leaving behind his comfortable home and his brothers and sisters from his litter at a age of , he was uncomfortable at first to the chilly weather of Nome, and felt alienated by the adoraton of racing that infected the dogs of Nome, and took several months to gain any friends or comrades. His arrival was a few days short of the Great Race of Mercy, and after he learned of Balto, he admired the mutt, but still kept his idea of racing being odd. As a pup, he spent time in the wilderness of Nome, until the birth of Balto's pups disrupted his life style, as his neighbors adopted Kodi and Dingo often visited the home of his neighbors as well. He slowly gained a cautious friendship with Kodi, teaching him how to chase the birds, but Kodi began to adore racing like his father. It wasn't until Kodi finally gained a back space on the Mail team that Kodi began to race with Dik, baffled by Dik one day stating 'I don't get it.' when viewing a race. Dik is a built to heavy set to keep up well with the race dogs like Katlag and the others, but still began to enjoy preforming mock races with Kodi and his new friends, Dusty, Kirby, and Ralph. He still relishes in time on his own, sometimes out in the woods by Nome, where he can sometime catch glimpses of Saba- the daughter of Balto adopted by a Inuit girl who lived on the outskirts of Town, and enjoys catching small cliffs view of where he can see all of Nome. 

Bio (a brief history and personality):

Dik is a soft spoken, broadly sized husky mix.  Caught off guard by the shift from of lifestyle compared to LA, Dik is not very good with other dogs, especially the race-loving dogs of Nome. Despite his large size, he can be quite shy and somewhat timid, and can sometimes show his emotions too well, and he also can be insecure of himself. Usually he steers clear of large packs of friends, instead trying to keep to himself. Dik wants to race, and is sometimes helped by Kodi and Dingo whenever Dik is feeling bad about the fact he is not on a team. Even if he is not on a team of dogs, Dik quite likes the wilderness of Nome, and often runs through the woods close by, catching birds and sometimes encountering wolves. Dik is a real friendly dog if someone would get to know him.
