Personality: Evil, judgemental,  sensitive,  cocky, sly,  proud,  outgoing,  brave,  and super protective of her dignity and family. 

History: Auburn Sky watched helplessly as her father loped back to the homeland.  The wolf-dog, Alue, clambered up onto the ice flow and stood beside her.  She growled to herself and walked to the back of the ice flow and sat down.  She gazed as the water,  and thought about her father choosing Alue to lead the pack instead of her. She layed down and began to cry. She turned her back to the pack and tried to muffle her sobs as the pack howled their farewell to Nava and Alue's father, Balto.

The next day, Auburn Sky was awaken when the ice flow hit the shore of an island. She smirked, "Here's my chance to get away from Alue. Hopefully no one wakes up and sees me." She then ran into the forest. When she was far from the pack,  she rejoiced and ran faster than she ever had before. She soon staggared to a stop by an abandoned fox den. "Perfect! Nobody is going to find me here, I can start a pack of my own. Yes, and when it is strong, Alue will pay! She will pay dearly for stealing my father's love and affection from me as well as my chance to be pack leader!" Auburn Sky howled menacingly into the dawn.

Over the next few months Auburn Sky dug out some tunnels to make the den into a large underground camp for the pack to live and thrive in.

One day, while hunting,  Auburn Sky noticed a black she-wolf running in the shadows with a pup dangling from her jaws. Curious,  she followed,  making sure to stay downwind so the she-wolf didn't scent her. The she wolf seemed to know she was being followed because she frequently stopped and looked over her shoulder.  Auburn Sky hid among the trees as the she-wolf reached a den hidden by bushes beside a cliff. The she-wolf dissappeared for a moment,  then reappeared only to head back the way she came. She collided into Auburn Sky. "W-who are you?!" She stuttered fearfully. Auburn Sky growled, "I think the real question is why are you doing leaving that pup in my territory?!" The she-wolf cowered, "My alphas......they said that they would kill any pups in the pack that weren't theirs. They killed my other pups, so I am leaving this one here in hopes that someone would find and take her as their own." Auburn Sky nodded, "I see, go on then. Leave. And if you have anymore pups, just bring them here and howl. I'll find them." The she-wolf nodded and took off into the undergrowth. 

Auburn Sky crawled into the den and saw the pup looking at her. She felt a spark way down deep in her heart as she gazed into the pup's violet eyes. She smiled,  "I am your real mother, Auburn Sky,  and your real name is Dark Moonlight.  I have come to save you from this imposter!" She picked up the pup and ran out of the den and towards her own den.

When she reached her den, she set the pup down. "What's that smell?!" The pup squeaked. Auburn Sky bit back a harsh reply and smiled as she said, "That is the former resident. A fox." She watched the pup's eyes go wide, "What's a fox?" Auburn Sky snarled, "A horribly vicious creature that comes along and tries to steal pups from their mothers and eats them! The creature that stole you was one of them!" The pup nodded and crawled into the den and layed in Auburn Sky's nest. Auburn Sky sighed and curled up around the pup and licked her fur until she fell asleep and then drifted off into a doze herself.

A little while later, Auburn Sky heard someone calling to her from outside the den, "Auburn Sky?  Auburn Sky! Can I speak with you?" Cautiously, Auburn Sky poked her head out the entrance of the den. She recognized a young wolf-dog from her former pack, Hiamovi. "What are you doing here?!" She growled as she walked defensively towards him. Hiamovi dipped his head, "I wanna join your pack." Auburn Sky found his behavior somewhat peculiar, but she shook it off. She did, after all need members, and it seemed as if he was alone. "Ok, come inside." She sighed inwardly. When they got inside the den, she almost started to laugh at Hiamovi's face, but stopped herself as he said, "Wow! You are really clever! I never would have thought of an underground camp!" She felt the same odd spark towards him as she had felt towards Dark Moonlight and blushed and kneaded a clump of dirt. "I just wanted to be unpredictable." She smiled as he smiled at her. Hiamovi looked at the little pup behind her in the nest, "May I ask you her name?" Auburn Sky nodded, "Dark Moonlight." He sighed, "She needs milk, she isn't old enough for meat yet." Auburn Sky layed down sadly,  "I know. But I have no milk!" Hiamovi looked at the ground for a minute, then said, "Why not try caribou milk?" Auburn Sky thought he was crazy, "How do I get caribou milk?!" He rolled his eyes at her, "I go hunt a female caribou, you get the milk." Auburn Sky nodded and watched him leave to hunt. 

Later that day,  Auburn Sky nudged Dark Moonlight awake and followed her out the den to wait for Hiamovi to return. About 10 minutes later, she saw him dragging a caribou carcass into the clearing and bounded over as she howled, "Wow! You must have gotten the biggest one there!" She saw Hiamovi swell with pride.  Then he found a bowl shaped piece of bark and let the milk drain into it. "Drink that." He told the pup.  Dark Moonlight did what he told her and finished it quickly. She walked over to Hiamovi and sat beside him.  "Thank you." She whispered and licked his cheek. Before he could say anything though,  she walked over to the pup. 

Connection to the movie: Is Nava's daughter who hates alue for stealing her "rightful" place as pack leader.
