Personality: Rust. shares alot of Silver's personalty traits. He is intellegent and rational for his breed. He does tend to be overly competitive at times and hates it when he doesn't acheive something to his standards. He is also a thoughtful and loyal compainion to thoes he loves. 

History: Rust. is a siberian husky and spends alot of his time (when his not with Silver and Steele) pulling sleds arond Nome. He does this as part time work and partly as his excersice regime. Whenever he is at home with his family Rust. is a great help to Silver providing enough food and security for her and their son. One of Rust.'s favourite bonding activities with his son involves racing him and challenging him to beat his personal best record.

It is only when his family falls apart due to Steele's dissapearance that Rust. somehow looses a part of himself. He and Silver spend countless hours searching for their only son with no results. It is only after months have gone by,  that they have no choice but to assume him to have passed on. Rust. gives up his part time work in Nome to spend as much time searching for his missing son and to look after Silver as best he can. Ironically it is here in Nome where Steele now lives.
