Name: Ruby

Age. Several years younger than Kodi or Aleu

Gender: Male

How he is related to Balto: Cousin of Kodi and Aleu, and is eventually placed on Kodi's sled team.

Mate: None

Eye color: Golden brown

Other characteristics  He has a very small build compared to other huskies and has rather feminine looks. He is surprisingly strong and fits the ideal that good things come in small packages.

Family: Mother- Sibling of Jenna, Father- ?, Aunts / Uncles- Balto, Jenna and her siblings, Cousins- Kodi, Aleu, Dingo, Saba

Friends: Ruby is very hard to get along with and thus has very few friends. The only canines that can be called something along the lines of friends are Nulato (Kaltag's daughter) who is equally obnoxious and impossible to get along with, and Dingo (his cousin) who is to much of a pushover to stand up to him. Off of the sled team he is friends with a shy collie named Sasha and encourages her to be what he thinks is courageous but just comes off as obnoxious.

Personality: He is a natural born racer and a prodigy. He can be very self-centered and self serving. Ruby wants to be respected and he wants peeople to like him and is often called a try-hard by his peers. He is very ambitious and isn't afraid to play dirty to get his way.

History: His breeder was Leonhard Seppala and was likely descended from Seppala's famous dog Togo. He inherited Togo's natural leading skills and was sold at a very high price to Mr. Simpson's brother. Along with Dingo and Nulato Ruby's team was soon eligible to compete for what was previously Steele's golden collar. They beat out Kodi's team in the preliminaries. Days before what would be the big race Mr. Simpson's brother died in a freak grizzly bear accident and Ruby along with the rest of the team were given to Mr. Simpson. Mr. Simposn took his brother's place in the race and instead of using Ruby, Dingo, and Nulato he used his regular team. His team lost, and lost bad. Ruby became bitter towards Kodi who'd been lead dog at the time and to make matters worse was placed behind  him. Ruby became very antagonistic of Kodi in particular and when on  a mail run when Kodi became disoriented Ruby mocks him and calls him a bad lead dog. Ruby later finds out that his friend Sasha has a teeny-weeny GIGANTIC crush on Kodi and Ruby ends up softening towards Kodi enough to warn him not to hurt Sasha's feelings.

Likes: Being lead dog, being in the spot light, and being in control. His heroes are Balto and Togo and is proudly related to both. He cares about what few friends he has even if he doesn't always show it.

Dislikes: He dislikes Kodi and feels like lead dog is rightfully his position, surprisingly enough he hates other obnoxious canines Nulato being the exception.

Other: He used to be Kodi and Aleu's sibling but for some reason it didn't stick so now they're cousins I guess (O3O) also he usually has the sled dog collar thing but I didn't draw it because I'm lazy.
