General Information
Birth Name: Elson
Name: Rondo (by owners and other dogs)
Age: Young Adult
Breed: 1/4 Wolf & 3/4 Siberian Husky
Likes: Causing trouble, winning races, his golden collar, being associated with heroism simply because of his father, telling stories, impressing others, when the dogs of town belive his "tales".
Dislikes: His family, losing, "goodie-goodies", lectures from his father, when others compare him to Aleu or Kodi, elderly canines, and losing.
Personality: To put it bluntly, Rondo is not one to have or keep many friends. Not only is he harsh with his words and speaks his mind, he also has a very short fuse that accompanies his large ego. Rondo is incredibly honest. He will tell others straight up, if he thinks they are: unattractive, funny looking, annoying to be around, or anything else. He will also point out positive traits as well, if he thinks they actually are attractive, interesting, worthy to race him, etc. Rondo does a lot of judging at first glance. And he'll state his opinion of what he thinks, initially. This doesn't help him in making a lot of close friends since he blurts out uncomfortable truths to strangers. He's stuck-up and cocky, having no doubt what-so-ever of his racing abilities, he knows he's a champion and will challenge anyone who dares to defy that. He's terrible in "serious" matters. Life is a joke to him, and he takes everything lightly. He's not like his father, or any of his family in anyway, he's bad by nature. He'll cheat, fight, or just play dirty to get what he wants and to keep his title.

History
Rondo was born under the name Elson, to Balto and Jenna in their second litter of pups. Like all his other siblings before, he was told of his father, and the story of how he saved nome, and faced off against the selfish Malamute who nearly doomed the town. However, unlike all his other siblings, who idolized the story, and their father, Rondo did not care for the story. The only part that interested him was the part about racing, not even his father racing, just that Balto had faced off against a sledding champion who his mother refused to name.
Even as a puppy Rondo had a bad atittude. He would often criticize his littermates, telling them all the reasons he was so much better than them or by pointing out their flaws. Even his siblings wanted nothing to do with him. Those who didn't mind his words, no longer played with him after playful races, which the smaller pup would cheat in if he knew he was going to lose. Rondo kept these bad habits all of his life. Even though Balto and Jenna tried to teach their son how to act he never listened.
Rondo was adopted by an aspiring musher at the age of one, because of his slim and lean build the musher decided he could work as a swing dog. This, however, did not please Rondo. He wanted to lead, to be the one to cross the finsh line first, to win the races and get the glory. So, he would often nip at the heels of the led dog, or ram into the dog who ran at his side, he would even kick the canines behind him, anything to act out and get attention.
Despite Rondo's actions, his team was well known. They actually made a name for themselves after winning several races in a row. One races, was for a chamion title the other dog's spoke of in hushed tones, called The Golden Collar.
Rondo wanted this prize, he wanted it, and no one could keep him from getting it. During the final leg of the race, with their team in the lead, Rondo was biting at the lead dog's flanks. The musher took note of his leader's occasional yelp of pain, his limps, and staggers. So he halted the team, he didn't know it was Rondo who had been making the leader act strange, he simply thought it was the dog, who was getting old. So, he took the leader off the line and put Rondo at the lead.
The Wolfdog couldn't have been happier as he pulled the team across the finishline and was awarded the presteige collar of gold by his owner, who was so proud of the replacement dog. He was mobbed by canines and showered with praise. When he was asked how and why he was in lead, he told a fabricated tale about the leader breaking his leg, and Rondo being the only canine brave enough to step in. Everyone belived and as he continued to lead, and win races, he became more beloved by the town of Nome.
Early in his life as a champion, he met a Malamute mix, he disliked her early on. Mostly because she would interrupt his stories, to question every aspect of them. Or she would lecture him about the importance of family, and being humble. He of course, didn't realize she was the daughter of his father's old rival, and their relationship was not like that of their fathers'. He found himself enjoying the way she questioned him, and enjoying the way he could go to great and "impressive" links to prove his point to her. He slowly got use to the way she would hang around him, and they became something like friends.
Other
I'm not fond of the way some of Balto's children become "rebels" after they've grown or after one of their parent upset them etc etc. I'm guilty of making characters like that, so I wanted a fan pup who was just born egotistical and bad, not having a bit of respect or care for his heritage at any point in his life.
