Story: Kilaun was born with his twin brother Yakone and their three siblings to Balto and Jenna. He was the second oldest, and a very playful and adventurous pup who Balto even had to save from trouble every now and then. He and Yakone were the closest as pups, they were best friends and always did everything together all though they did play with their other siblings as well. Kilaun admired his father Balto more deeply and saw him as the greatest hero who ever lived, and dreamed of one day becoming a hero just like him. As they started to get older, Kilaun noticed a change in his twin brother; he wasn't the same, happy and playful pup anymore, he got more isolated from the other siblings and preferred his own company. One night, he caught Yakone sitting on a pile of barrels, and howling to the moon, and knew something had happened to his brother. Then came the day for the pups to be adopted, and Kilaun got adopted by a man who trained rescue dogs. His training started soon after, and he began to grow bigger and stronger every day. Kilaun was reaching adulthood and had visited his parents from time to time, but couldn't help feeling worried for Yakone who had gotten even more isolated and solitary, he was barely seen with Balto and Jenna anymore and only wandered around the town and its outskirts, mostly during night time. Finally Kilaun's training was over and he had become a rescue dog for the town. He was very proud of his job, and made a promise to himself that he would make his heroic father proud of him as well. A few weeks later Kilaun and his owner went on a rescue mission to a cave not too far from Nome, where a scientist and his companion, a beautiful girl-husky were trapped. Kilaun used his wolf dog instincts to lead them out, and while the scientis was taken to the hopsital to get checked, the girl-husky stayed with Kilaun, thanking him for saving them and introduced herself as Eira. She seemed to have taken quite the shining to Kilaun, and started tagging along with him every opportunity she had, and he didn't mind it too much, he liked her company, though it took some getting used to, since this was the first time he'd really gotten attention from a girl. But in time, Kilaun's feelings for Eira deepened, and finally, they decided to become mates.
