Name: Raymond
Age: 5 years old
Species: 100% wolf
Parents: Nava and an unknown female
Siblings: None made (If you'd like to make him any siblings, please ask me first. And I expect to see them being used in fanart, images, RPs or whatever)
Crush: None (DON'T ASK!!!)

Mate: None (DON'T ASK!!!)
Likes: Being alone
Dislikes: Everyone, interacting with others, wolf packs
Relation to Balto: Son of Nava, he and Niju hated each other, was framed for murder by Niju
Personality: The only emotion Raymond seems to express is anger and he hates interacting with anyone, making him extremely quiet and reserved. If he and another animal seem like they will come in contact he’ll typically try and “gain space” between them so they won’t interact with each other or he’ll just walk past them in silence without even acknowledging them. If someone persists on interacting with him, he will gladly start fighting them or expressing his anger to get them to leave him alone. He doesn’t back down when threatened because after years of threats he knows that most threats are bluffs and to prove it he’ll give the “attacker” an easy opportunity to harm or even kill him. He likes being alone because he thinks it’s the only way for someone to truly learn how to survive, he thinks the only one you can trust is yourself, and he believes everyone and their deeds are forgotten about as time passes. Although he seems like he has no heart or soul, he does have just a little left. If someone’s life is in danger he’ll grudgingly help them out, but if they do live, don’t expect him to stay around.
History: Raymond’s parents were Nava and an unknown female wolf and he had 6 siblings. Nava and his mate intended for one of their pups to be the next leader of their pack and from an early age, they taught each one the importance of family and unity and how to be a leader. The pup that showed the best leadership potential as they grew up would ultimately be chosen as the next pack leader but both his parents showed immediate interest in Raymond because of how quickly his potential emerged.
As a pup, Raymond was very interactive with the other wolf pups and he was always glad to make new friends. This socialization made others aware of his potential leadership abilities and he became very well known and liked. However another wolf pup named Niju thought Raymond was annoying and he saw his leadership as being a control freak instead and he hated how he got lots of attention, so he developed a disliking for him very early.
Once the time came for Nava and his mate to decide which one of their children would become the next pack leader Raymond was the obvious choice for them. Most of the pack was supportive of their leaders’ decision, but Niju was infuriated by this. By now he and Raymond had both developed a strong hatred for each other and Niju thought Raymond was going to have a tight control over the pack and as they grew up more he thought Raymond would end up destroying their traditions and way of life so one day he began to put together a plan to try and prevent him from becoming the next pack leader.
For a while life was good in the pack. There was plenty of food to eat, everyone was in good health, and they weren’t being threatened by any other clans or packs. But one day that peace was greatly disturbed. In just one day, three pack members were found dead, all of them appeared to be victims of murder. Everyone was shocked to learn about the murders, but what shocked everyone even more was that all the evidence found on the bodies showed that Raymond was the one that committed the murders! They found his hair and scent on all three bodies and the claw marks on the bodies matched his claws and claw marks almost exactly! No one wanted to believe it at first, but no one could argue against the evidence.
Raymond was just as shocked as everyone else and he kept on pleading he was innocent, but everyone called him a liar and were demanding that he be punished to the fullest extent. There was zero tolerance for murderers in the pack and the punishment for it was death and this was typically done by throwing the murderer off a cliff overlooking a rock filled ravine! Raymond pleaded with his parents to believe him and to not allow the punishment, but his parents refused to cancel it because they couldn’t find any evidence that said he didn’t do it and the whole pack was practically in an uproar and would likely start rioting if he wasn’t punished. Once it was decided, Raymond was restrained and carried to the cliff side, all while constantly maintaining that he was innocent, and thrown over the edge. Many of his former friends, some of his family members, and even his intended future mate were either part of it or there to witness it. They all saw his body hit the rocks below and once it was over, they all left figuring justice had been done.
About a year after Raymond was killed, the status of the pack was beginning to change negatively. Food supplies were beginning to lower and social unrest was starting to surface. One day a group of foxes were caught digging up the graves of the three wolves that Raymond supposedly killed, scavenging for food. They were chased off, but as the wolves who chased them off were re-burying them, one of them caught an unfamiliar scent. Although most of the scents had died off from a year of decomposition, there were still traces left. He could pick up the scents of the wolves themselves and Raymond’s scent, but there was also a scent that didn’t belong to them or the foxes! More wolves were called in and found this same scent as well! Nava was quickly alerted and he immediately ordered another investigation. After looking through the evidence again they found things that they didn’t originally see! They also found the unknown scent on the areas where Raymond’s scent was strongly present and they found small, but important inconsistencies in the claw marks. There were patterns that had never appeared on Raymond’s claw marks! Everyone was in shock, Raymond was telling the truth!
This was followed by a huge investigation to find who ever committed the murders. Every wolf was interviewed and searched thoroughly, and sure enough they found a potential suspect. Niju’s scent had some similarities with the unknown scent and many knew he and Raymond hated each other so many thought he did it, but due to a scent trace that was extremely faint they were not able to provide solid evidence. Not wanting the death of another innocent wolf, the search was called off. Raymond’s family and friends were heartbroken and after he was alone, Niju smirked. “It worked.” he said. It turns out that the three wolves that were killed were wolves that both Niju and Raymond hated, which would make it look like Raymond had a motive while no one Niju cared about would be killed. What Niju did was over time he collected samples of Raymond’s DNA such as hair or saliva by either fighting him or grabbing anything he ate after he finished something and when he felt he had enough, he proceeded with the murders, making sure he got as little of his scent as possible on them. He ended up getting enough of his scent on them to where a good amount of it would dissipate enough to the point where it would be inconsistent. After the failure of the investigation, a big crowd of family and friends rushed to the ravine to try and find Raymond’s remains so they could at least bring his them back to the pack and have a proper burial. But when they got there, his remains were gone! They assumed his remains were picked off by predators, but after sniffing around, they found traces of his scent leading toward the forest!
Raymond felt everything when he hit the rocks and for what seemed like an eternity he just laid in the ravine feeling the worst physical and enotional pain he would ever feel in his life. He was practically heartbroken when the fact that all his friends and family members had pretty much attempted to kill him and that none of them believed him had hit his mind. Although he was in a lot of physical and emotional pain, he was still alive and after the thought of betrayal began to sink in, he was determined to make sure he would have the final victory. Every slight movement felt like his body was being ripped to pieces. Slowly, but surely, he dragged himself out of the ravine and into the shade of the forest. The grassy ground felt like a pillow compared to the rocks. Over time, Raymond began to heal himself through methods he learned as a pup, but now he was changed. When he dragged himself out of the ravine, it was like a switch went off in his head. He felt like he had been betrayed by everyone he knew and love and he thought that returning would mean certain death. “They all want me dead, why should I? They think they won? I’m still alive. Who’s the winner now?” he thought. It took months for him to fully recover, but when he was finally able to walk again, he decided to run off and vowed never to return to his traitorous pack again.
The pack conducted a huge search of the forest to try and find any traces of Raymond that lasted for at least a month, but the trail quickly grew cold and ultimately nothing was found. In the following months after the search it was like a giant cloud of depression covered the entire pack. Everyone was in mourning. It was especially bad for Raymond’s family. Nava and his mate sank into a deep depression and it eventually got so bad for her that it drove her to commit suicide by throwing herself off the same cliff. Two of Nava’s other children even left the pack out of guilt, one of them saying that maybe she would find Raymond some day. With his mate dead, two of his children gone, and hardships coming Nava needed to find a new pack leader more than ever, but anyone he thought would be able to do it didn’t want the job, feeling that it would be insulting to Raymond. Niju had tried to get Nava to make him the new pack leader, but Nava felt he didn’t have enough of a leadership potential. Niju was infuriated. It was during this time when the pack’s food sources really began to drop and would lead into the problems talked about in Balto 2.
As a result of the attempted killing, Raymond’s personality has made a 180 degree change. He now thinks that anyone he’ll interact with will just betray him like his own family and friends did and because of this he has vowed never to return to the pack again and he has also vowed to never be a member of any pack again, claiming he’d rather die. He also hates interacting with anyone because he thinks they’ll just try to become friends with him and then betray him, believing that the only person you can really trust is yourself. He also doesn't see any reason why he should talk to others because he thinks everyone will be forgotten once they leave. His lifestyle is a migrant one, going in any direction whenever he wants. He doesn’t care where he goes or when as long as it gets him away from others. His ultimate wish is to be left alone so he can live out his life alone and in peace but despite all this he still manages to run into other animals at times. He has been offered several times to live in other packs or if he’d like a traveling companion, but he denied every offer.
