Name: Tunerk (gift)

Age: Young, 4 (in canine years).

Species: Wolf

Personality: Shy, intelligent and friendly.

Likes: Gazing at the Northern Lights, other animals and hunting.

Dislikes: Water (besides drinking it), hunters and cold, winter nights.

Background: Born in the barren islands outside Alaska, he was one of five pups of Aleu and her mate. He loved wrestling with his siblings, but one day while they were playing in the snow...an ice bridge cracked and he fell into a freezing river. Tunerk soon washed up a bank and lived in the forest alone where he taught himself how to hunt. As an adult, he saw a wolf and thought it was one from his pack. But it was a lone female named Chena, she was looking for Aleu like he was to gather Balto’s family before he passed away.

Together, he and Chena searched Alaska for Balto's family. On the journey, he also grows more affectionate with Chena and learns the truth about his family.
He’s the grandson of the wolfdog and Hero of Nome, Balto. Aniu the White Wolf was his Great Grandmother and the family spirit guide. He also learns that Chena was meant to meet him and be his mate. He also learns about Chena’s past, losing her family and that a husky was part of the hunt.

A blizzard was incoming and with Balto's family found, Chena and Tunerk had to guide them all back. Until the husky, Archer intervened...

Tunerk and Chena face-off with Archer and he is defeated after an avalanche buried him in mounds of snow. Alongside Chena and the rest of the pack , they safely arrive in Nome and all had a few minutes to spend with Balto before he passed away. After Chena’s farewell, Tunerk thanked Balto for Aleu and being a great grandfather, even in the last few minutes with him. As they all witnessed Balto take his last breath, Tunerk howled alongside Chena in honor of the Hero as did the other dogs and wolves.

That evening, Tunerk and Chena were gazing at the Northern Lights when they saw Balto, Jenna and Aniu in the distance. Assuring that they will be watching over the entire family for generations to come, Tunerk and Chena stay in Nome and have a happy life there...together.
