Personality:
He is an individual character, very strong-willed and independent. Apollo is not that competitive against others, but, in his own team, he will pull through and be very demanding of his friends. Everybody knows that Apollo is a reliable source, and he will never share somebody else's secrets. His loyalty has known him to be one of the more popular sled dogs as he has never let the team down, or anybody at all really. Apollo used to get into lots of trouble, as he was an outrageous young individual.
In addition, Apollo is very caring and will often do anything for his friends. Normally, he is a supportive friend and a team player, but he isn't afraid to go in alone. Around him, so many different things go on, Apollo has a special talent to block all of that out. Apollo used to run with Steel's sled team but he created his own when he realized everybody around him was a glory hunter. At the best of times, Balto and Apollo are together like glue. Nobody can separate them, as when they were young, they were split up from each other - Balto with Aniu and Apollo with his father. During the summer he often plays with all the little children that are in Nome. Many a time has Apollo made a new child feel welcome to Nome, his likability as a sled dog has grown since helping young ones fit in. Using his skills, Apollo has returned many lost children home after becoming lost in Nome.
Apollo dislikes most of the human males in Nome. Much like they were with Balto, Apollo is sometimes cast aside like a pair of old trainers that have out lived their use. Steele dislikes Apollo as Apollo is the lead dog of the sled team that was once Balto's. Steele and Apollo can never get along. Apollo disagrees with everything Steele says or does, as it is normally flirting with his half-brother's mate, Jenna.
He is normally quite a popular one with the ladies as he never let's himself get pushed around by Steele, and he prefers to just help out around Nome, attending daily to the bakers to see if any help is needed. Although he is fun-loving, Apollo has a very responsible side to his soul. If any of his friends are in danger he will not hesitate to help them. He just wants to help people, that is his nature. He's smart and very quick to react. His reflexes are top quality. However, he can be caught off-guard really easily when he is being nice to kids. He is one to make friends rather than enemies with humans. On the other hand, Apollo can be very angry and harsh to older humans and bullies.
Apollo is never afraid to speak his mind and often helps to resolve many break-ups and falling outs. Although he is afraid to say something wrong, he doesn't mind being scolded but often doesn't reply to sarcastic and quirky comments from other animals. Despite living life in the fast lane, Apollo wishes to have a family of his own and just settle down, have someone to continue his legacy of a lead dog to remember. But most of all, he wants to be loved, not used in any way. Apollo's mind will never be tamed, but he does listen to orders, he won't let people change him in any way, shape or form. His childhood may not have been the best but he makes up for it in all the good deeds he does for others.
Overall, Apollo trusts everybody he meets, when he gets to know more about them, and will gladly lay down his life for anyone he meets. He believes in his heart, and is a genuinely friendly guy to all. Apollo focuses on his life ahead, always knowing which path to take. Challenges that require quick thinking and a lot of action are the things he loves most. If he had the choice, Apollo wouldn't swap his life for anything in the world, no matter what it was. He hates letting anybody down and will never forgive himself for anything he does wrong. His past is a long time ago, and he respects that, but he will never forgive himself for his past crimes. Although he usually casts these worries aside, he can't help but have flash-backs of his life so far. Usually these happen in the middle of something important, like when he is helping a little child get back home, or when he is sled racing against Steele. I guess Pat and Apollo really are family afterall! (By the way, Aussie I didn't copy Pat's personality for this, I just thought it would be cool if Apollo had flash-backs aswell- sorry if you don't like it, just say so, I'll change it).
No matter what happens, Apollo is a one-off. Nobody can replace him.

Bio/History:
Apollo was born to Balto’s father and a female named Elijah. He had no siblings, as they had unfortunately died whilst Elijah was giving birth. Apollo was the only survivor. Elijah and his father were devastated. They trained Apollo to be a sled dog, as he was cute and would easily be adopted. Before, this happened to him, though, his father wanted him to be known. His father treated Apollo as though he were the only thing real to him. Apollo never really fully understood his father, as he would speak gibberish, often making things complicated, and not speaking fully correct and sane sentences.
From younger years it was clear that Apollo would make a fine sled dog, his agility and ability to outwit even the smartest of brainiest dogs was noticed by a great many. Even though his strong-will and determination cost him a few friends, gained him a few enemies, he always remained on the bright side of the day. Because of this, the biggest, meanest and most revolting bully decided to make friends with Apollo. One day, the bully had been humiliated by a female so he took out all his anger on something lying in the snow. Apollo was about 1 years old then. The bully, Jacob, repeatedly hit the thing in the snow, stopping only to shove more snow on it. Apollo ran to intercept the 30 something- ish blow. The thing had started to yelp and cry really loud now. It was quite big, at lest about three times the size of little Apollo.
The bully had now become fond of Apollo, so he stopped hitting the thing and ran off- fearing that Apollo would call his father. With all the bullies and their friends gone and with only the very female which had humiliated Jacob, Apollo ran to inspect thing in the snow. He was staring down at a wet-eyed, blabbering little thing with no fur or paws. The female inspected it too. As Apollo looked at the female, Sadie her name was, the thing began to gurgle. Apollo surged backwards- shocked at the noise. He cautiously stepped forward again.
“Hiya, I’m Apollo, what’s your name?” Apollo asked, clueless that it couldn’t understand him. Apollo received a sneeze and a gurgle in reply.
“Apollo, we should get your dad. He knows about lots of things.” Sadie suggested.
Apollo agreed silently and they both ran off to find Apollo’s father-leaving the thing in the snow.
“Dad, dad! Me and Sadie found a thing with no fur or paws in the snow! Come and help dad!” Apollo cried. Together they all ran to where Apollo and Sadie had found the thing. His father studied the thing for quite some time, before saying, “It is boy, son.” (As I said, his words never made sense).
Apollo looked at it closer. He decided to call the boy Jayden, after his mother’s granddad. Jayden seemed to like his name as he laughed when it was said.
Jayden was brought back and raised as if another child had been born to Elijah and his father. Jayden grew stronger as he got older, never leaving Apollo. They became more than friends as Apollo had saved Jayden. At the time, Jayden must have been about three or four, but he had obviously not been taught anything. Apollo and Jayden became partners for life, always doing anything for each other.
About a year after, when Jayden was five, he was discovered by adult males in Nome and was taken away to the orphanage. Jayden began to cry and scream in protest, Apollo ran after the adults, calling for his father to help him. No help came, Jayden was taken to the orphanage to be possibly adopted. Apollo should have known the males would come but he was foolish and had hoped sincerely, that they wouldn’t come to take Jayden away from him. Apollo followed the truck which had taken Jayden. Apollo followed it all the way to the other side of town, trying to stop them, but, of course, he couldn’t stop a truck much bigger than himself driving round Nome taking his best friend away from him. Eventually, the truck stopped at the orphanage and Jayden was taken inside.
Apollo found himself in the part of Nome where Balto and Boris lived. The young pup found himself lost and confused in the huge place. He hung out around the orphanage for quite a few months. Then, one day, Jayden was brought into the ‘meeting room’ they called it, Apollo had often seen kids in there. It was either to tell them that no body wanted them pr they were being adopted or fostered. In this case, it was the latter. Jayden had been adopted by some travellers from England. Apollo did not want this to happen. Jayden had another fit as he still missed Apollo and his real home. Of course, this wasn’t his real home, but Jayden just saw it as that though. Apollo ran after the getting distant truck as he didn’t want to be alone in the world just as he had been before, with his father speaking gibberish and his mother being devastated with her loss.
Apollo followed the truck through thick and thin. One night, Apollo had just turned a corner when he was faced with a dog, this dog was older than him, much older. The dog had a voice that was dangerously low and a sounded a bit like charcoal being crushed. Apollo tried to run but the dog was no match for him. A man, somewhere near, whistled for the dog, and he (the dog) ran towards his owner, bringing Apollo to his master. With Apollo being only young, the male, which was the master, only put Apollo in a flip and pull lock-one that you might have on your back gate-thinking that Apollo wasn’t smart enough to open it. Apollo had been warned never to be caged, and knew how to open many locks. Due to Apollo’s knowledge of locks and bolts, he found an escape route. Quickly but carefully Apollo opened the lock, flip and pull, just as his father had said. Slowly, Apollo edged his way out of the cage, being careful not to wake the man or dog, which he found out to be called Christopher-weird name right? Apollo was careful, but not careful enough, he woke Christopher up. Fleeing, Apollo saw a small plane ready for take off nearby and decided to jump on it, wherever it may lead him. He swerved at the last second, just as the large dog went to jump on Apollo. Unfortunately, Apollo misjudged the speed of the plane on take off, as it went straight past where he was going to jump. Apollo gained speed to catch it up. Luckily, he darted forward and saw a few obstacles he could use. For a young dog, he was very resourceful. He jumped onto a box, then a ladder rung, then a window ledge, before jumping into an open carriage. Landing perfectly, Apollo preyed that this was the right way to get home, but he made a fatal mistake, he had not known that the plane was headed for England. He was out of the frying pan, but straight into the oven...
15 hours later he was in England, although it was possibly 18 hours as the plane had rested in about 3 different places. Annoyed, Apollo dove out of the cargo bay and ran for his life, hoping to not bump into animal control or any security. Apollo had slept a wink, never mind a good night’s rest, Apollo needed at least two days rest!
Apollo had found comfort in talking to himself over the possible 18 hour trip. Although when he did this he would often think; ‘I’m going to end up like daddy.’- which he didn’t want to happen.
