Personal

Personality;  Kregar is very closed off to the world. He appears as a big tough dog who will fight anyone and not to be messed. When he was young Kregar loved to fight and relished how he always won and come out of fights without a scratch. However, now that he is older he has calmed down a lot and is more bark than bite. Kregar still hates other males but has a few he tolerates. Kregar is big and strong and knows it so it makes him slightly cocky. He is very sensitive on the topic of his parents and his history. Kregar is extremely protective especially of his sister. He will fight easily and is very easy to provoke and annoy. He doesn’t like puppies or young dogs. Although it is hard to see Kregar for who he really is he is a strong very dedicated, stubborn wolf who enjoys his freedom in the world.

Likes/Dislikes; Kregar hates males and rarely gets along well with them.

Bio

Story; Kregar was born in a little of five during a warm autumn. His mother Siki (a wolf from Aniu’s pack) was very dedicated to her litter. She had left her pack the moment she found out she was pregnant in fear of being thrown out for falling in love with a non-pack member. The  Siki’s mate Zeus helped care for her  while she was pregnant. When the puppies finally arrived Kregar was born last. He was the runt of the little and was picked on by his older brothers and sometimes sister. After winter was over and spring finally came Siki let the puppies see the world for the first time. Zeus was always with the puppies but he stayed away from Kregar. Zeus wouldn’t admit it but he resented the idea of any of his puppies being weak and would always ‘accidently’ leave Kregar behind. Kregar as a pup was very small and it was harder for him to keep up with his larger brothers and sister. He also got sick very easily so Zeus resented him even more. Siki however took special care of him. Whenever Zeus would return without Kregar, Siki would charge into the forest to find him. As much as Siki advised Kregar not to go on these adventures with his siblings when his father took them Kregar went anyway. He was desperate to prove he was strong and wanted so badly to shine in his father’s eyes. When the pups where about six months old Kregar was coming off of a severe cold that left him very weak. Siki was gone to find food that was growing scarce and Zeus took this opportunity to take the pups out on and adventure although he only planned on returning with his favorites. Zeus idolized his three oldest sons and even though his daughter, Selene, was healthy and fit he didn’t care for females and saw her as weak. When they had gone very far, Selene was waiting for Kregar. Now that they had grown up Selene cared for Kregar and even defended him against his older bully brothers and sometimes even their own father. The three boys had gone farther ahead and Zeus had disappeared. Selene kept trying to call her brothers back because night was falling and Kregar was still too weak to follow. Despite Selene’s efforts their brothers kept going and never looked back. Zeus was gone and it was very cold that night and Selene and Kregar were all alone. Kregar was terrified Selene may leave him so he tried his best to stick to her side. And that was when it happened. They had been trying to follow their brothers scent trail and Selene had missed that they had veered off to the side and on the other side was a pack of hungry wolves. Zeus had led them to Selene and Kregar and now with the light fading the only thing left for Selene and Kregar was death by these poor hungry creatures.

Siki had the most terrible feeling when she returned and everyone was gone. The light was fading fast and it was her big rule that Zeus always have the puppies’ home by dark. She had heard the howls of wolves and fear struck her heart. She raced to try to make it to her pups. She howled to her own pack who was not supposed to be too far off. When she burst through the clearing she pounced on the lead wolf who had just began to lunge for the puppies. Siki fought the wolves long and hard but she was just one starved mother fighting for her puppies against three very desperate mangy wolves who fought dirty. Kregar cried out for his mother and by the time Siki’s pack members arrived it was too late. They chased the wolves away and took Selene and Kregar back to their camp. Their alpha, Aleu, said they could stay. Kregar was treated and it was found Kregar was always so sickly because Zeus fed him a berry that made you susceptible to deathly sicknesses and it was a miracle he was alive. As Selene and Kregar stayed with the pack Kregar grew to be one of the biggest pack members. He was built perfect for the wilderness and thrived in pack life. Selene on the other hand wasn’t so fond. She wasn’t a good hunter and was terrible at following scent trails. Selene was a little frailer but she was strong. If anything needed to be pulled or pushed Selene was the one for the job. Aleu, knowing of Selene’s discomfort in the pack, offered her a deal. Selene could go to Nome and work with Balto but she would have to bring back news of the town whenever she headed this way. Thrilled of this opportunity Selene got prepared to leave and waited to tell Kregar till the day she was leaving. When she told him Kregar was silent and disappeared for the rest of the day. When Selene was leaving Kregar rejoined her without a word and followed her all the way to Nome.

When they arrived, Selene was a little disappointed. She had pictured a huge town with a couple of sled champion dogs. Instead she found a small town with hundreds of dogs and very little sled team openings.  Selene also (to her surprise and Kregar’s) found that they couldn’t find Balto anywhere.  It was a little puzzling the sled champion would be so hard to find. In the end it was a young sled dog named Talon to help them out. He was Balto’s adopted son and new which direction to point Selene. Kregar however, felt drawn to the younger dog. You would think Talon and him would fight each other but they had the same mind sets on the world and agreed with many things. While Selene continued in her quest to become a sled dog, Kregar stayed behind with Talon.

Talon was able to show Kregar around Nome. Talon who had very few friends actually didn’t mind Kregar. Both boys had rather sensitive pasts since Talon’s sister had disappeared and Kregar hated talking about his childhood. So Kregar and Talon didn’t do a lot of talking but rather got in a lot of trouble together. They would mess with the humans by knocking down trash cans and chasing the neighborhood cats. It was on one of their adventures when they met Trey, an energetic Husky famous for being Kaltag’s and Steele’s sister’s son. Trey wedged himself into the relationship and fit in nicely balancing the friend’s out, although sometimes Talon and Kregar get annoyed with him.

Relation to Balto; His mother was part of Aniu’s pack and he was too for a while. His sister is being trained a sled dog and Balto tries to convince him to be a sled dog (part of a fanfic).
