**Boss  is the slightly younger half brother of Balto.

Boss had the same father as Balto, but a different mother. Their father left Boss's mother about a month after Boss was born, thinking it was a waste of his time to feed 4 puppies and a mother. Boss was often told by his mother that their father was cruel and didnt have a heart, and grew up hating him for life. After 2 years, Boss and his siblings were able to leave their mother. His father was later killed by a bear who recently started to make the area his new home, being constant threats to the birthing den. Boss's mother never went into certain areas, with her pups during the 2 years to avoid human and other threats. Boss later then discovered those forbidden areas when he was free from the birthing den, discovering another birthing den. He got as close as he dared, but the mother inside the den noticed him and called him by his father's den. Afterall, Boss looked like a skinnier version of his father. He played along and went closer to the den. The mother still thought it was the father.

"They're all dieing, we need to get more food!"

Boss nodded and ran off.

He came back about an half hour later, carring a fawn in his mouth. Boss did smell just hardly any different than his father, but it was still noticable. when he was about a yard away from the den, the mother lashed out at him. She gave him a nasty wound on the bottom of his neck, and after that she asked who he was, and why he smelt so much like her mate. Boss claimed that he was a son of him. She believed him and asked where his father went. After telling her about the bear, she asked if Boss could stay for a while.

After 2 years, the puppies were able to grow and leave.Boss was only 4 years old at the time, and decided to start his own pack with the now two year olds, and their mother. But the pup who adored him the most was Balto. He never left Boss. Several months gone by and Boss's pack got bigger. Balto decided to take a stroll from the pack a little bit and ventured into human territory. Boss went after him and they got in a fight, which made Balto leave the pack.

Boss later on met a black elkhound used as a companion from human territory in Nome. He showed her how to hunt, fight and even had a litter of pups with her. Boss was only 5 years at the time, having 1  previous litter before. This litter was obviously wolf-dogs, but most of them had been born with diseases and soon died. The only one left was the smallest of the litter. The elkhound mother, Nefuu, took the pup to her human masters and has vets, they noticed something was wrong with the little pup. They put her in a cage and treated her daily untill she was healty again. During this time, they found out that Nefuu had a litter with a wolf and the pup wasnt exactly a dog like her mother. but they kept her anyways, and named her Rae. She was about 18 months old when Nefuu started taking her outside Nome to visit her father.
