Personality: Sapphire has a spirited type of character and she loves challenges. She is clever and often outsmarts others and isn’t afraid to let them know that she has. Usually, she just jokes around and spends time with her friends, and she also teases the boys greatly. Sapphire loves to just be herself; and when she cannot do so around someone, she feels uncomfortable. Due to this, she is careful of the friends she chooses. Friendships often can be broken easily with Sapphire; she is a real risk taker but does not forgive anyone for telling secrets or talking about her behind her back.

Likes: Running, racing, joking, being herself, her friends, Fletcher, winding people up, hunting, Nava, Niju and Kiara.

Dislikes: Matty, Fletcher, being told what to do, Aleu (Balto’s), Balto, Jenna, Kodi, the rest of Balto’s children, Alicyn, show-off type girls who love attention, being scolded or being pushed around, she hates being underestimated and will do anything to prove herself.

Crush: She doesn’t usually allow it to be known, but she does have a crush on Fletcher.

History:

Sapphire grew up with a bad family, she was just simply neglected and treated as she wasn’t anything important. Her parents didn’t care at all for her, and she was expected just to look after herself.

Luckily, all bad things are said to come to an end, and this was fortunately the case for Sapphire. When she was fairly older and had gone through most of her young childhood being mistreated, her parents finally abandoned her and left the pack. Nava took still-young Sapphire in, where she met Aiyana. At her current age by this time, Sapphire was more than capable of hunting. The other darker female was indeed older than her (not by much) but Sapphire went ahead and introduced herself.

"You seem OK," she began, "I'm Sapphire, and you are?"

"Aiyana," replied the darker female.

"Aiyana, I like that," Sapphire laughed, "Can you hunt?"

"Yes," replied Aiyana, "Why?"

"Fancy a quick hunt then?" asked Sapphire. The other female nodded in agreement and the two headed out together.

Despite the age gap, Sapphire and Aiyana soon became best friends nevertheless. The two often went out on hunts together and brought success throughout the pack. Nava, who was still the leader, was exceptionally pleased with the two girls and moved them up the ranking ladder as they had earned their role as alphas.

Nava put a lot of trust and faith in Sapphire, who was becoming ever more independent, often leaving to go on hunting trips just by herself.

When two wolfdogs appeared in the pack’s territory; Sapphire and Aiyana were not very pleased to discover that the young female wolfdog would take over as leader of the pack. Due to the fact that Sapphire and Aiyana disliked being ordered around by someone who had less knowledge of the area than they did (and Aleu also made them omegas instead of their original alpha role), Sapphire and Aiyana left the area.

They spent the rest of their years wandering as a duo, without anyone else, and Aiyana had never considered joining another pack- therefore they never discussed this particular topic.

One day, Sapphire was just out casually walking when she noticed something unusual about the atmosphere, it was a deadly silence, which wasn't normal. Could she have been spotted? Realising the truth, Sapphire began to try and act as natural as possible, looking back for the way she had came, but she could not remember. 

"You should not be in this territory," a voice said from behind, "You are not one of the pack."

Sapphire turned swiftly to see a black wolf with bright yellow eyes who looked like he was from a horror movie.

"No, I'm not, I don't think you have anyone called Sapphire in your pack who looks exactly like me, now leave me alone. It's accidental that I'm here."

"I don't want to hurt you, in fact, I wish for you to speak with the leader, young lady, to discuss the topic of your acceptance."

Sapphire just gulped and ran, but the truth was this wolf (who is Shadow) could easily locate her now he was familiar with her. She didn't tell Aiyana of this, thinking she'd be safe and able to fend them off easily enough. However, she decided to confront Aiyana with a question, the question that Aiyana had been dreading.

“Aiyana, when are we going to stop running?” Sapphire asked the darker female wolf.

“What do you mean?” frowned Aiyana, hoping the question she was dreading was not about to be brought upon her.

“I mean, we need to find a place to rest, we haven’t actually got a home. We just rest beside a tree or a boulder every night and then move the next morning,” explained Sapphire, “It’s exhausting. And, it’s killing you. You’re leg is already broken.”

Sapphire watched as Aiyana looked down at her leg, Sapphire could tell that the pain she was experiencing was unbearable.

“Okay, okay,” Aiyana smiled, “As long as you don’t mean that we have to find a pack.”

“Are you kidding?” stuttered Sapphire, a little shaken remembering what had happened when she had been found, wondering whether her presence had been announced during a Warrior Falls pack meeting or something.

Just then, she realised someone was watching them. Aiyana and Sapphire stood stone still.

“Fletcher, you take Sapphire,” said the familiar to Sapphire black wolf, “Matty, you take the other female.”

Aiyana gave in almost straight away, as soon as Matty had her pinned, but she could see he was careful enough to notice that she was injured and so didn’t pin her so hard, and she was thankful for that. Sapphire however, was a different story, she would not be caught by Fletcher and this didn’t make him happy. Some of the other wolves laughed at Fletcher, finding Sapphire amusing as she just dodged every attempt he made at trying to catch her. Finally, she was pinned by Fletcher, who was slightly annoyed by her attitude towards him, but she seemed to be laughing inside. Aiyana couldn’t help giggling at her best friend’s way of tackling boys.

“What’s your friend’s name, Sapphire?” the black wolf who had confirmed his name was Shadow asked.

“Ask her yourself,” she muttered, she was a little disappointed with herself, she could have escaped this "Fletcher guy".

“It’s Aiyana,” replied Aiyana, squirming slightly underneath Matty’s firm front legs that weren’t moving, although he felt a little sorry for the female.

“Okay, Fletcher, keep hold of that one,” laughed Shadow talking about Sapphire, “And Matty, you take care of Aiyana.”

“She’s…broken her leg,” said Matty.

“Boohoo,” giggled Aiyana sarcastically.

“Carry her then,” said Shadow firmly.

“You’re kidding, right?” said Matty.

“Nope, go on, she’s not going to bite,” he said, “Will you?”

“That depends,” replied Aiyana, Sapphire winked at Aiyana as Sapphire was the one who came up with all the sarcasm out of the two.

Things weren't over soon, and the pack were abruptly surrounded by hunters who shot them with tranquelizer guns, one by one. When Sapphire woke up, she found herself chained to Fletcher inside a metal crate, which she was not pleased about whatsoever. She tried her best to cope, but it would be hard for her to be chained to Fletcher inside a box for over five minutes, never mind the time it would probably take them to arrive at wherever their destination was.

After this event had happened and they returned back home, Sapphire found herself falling for Fletcher, she just had finally found someone she could laugh with and not at (besides Aiyana of course) and she felt like she could tell him anything, despite him being a boy. Sapphire doesn't know whether to confront Fletcher with her feelings, or to keep quiet and possibly lose him.
