Personality: Dast makes strong bonds with his friends. It oftens seems like he doesn't care for his friends, but he deeply does and he would easily die for them. He is a little bit flirty and very laid back, he doesn't like worrying and tries to keep life simple. However, he does worry when his friends or family are in danger. Dast can look a little bit shy at first, but he's quick to get used to others, he's very friendly and usually nice. Sure, he has his limits and will snap if somebody annoys him a little too much. He idolizes really cunning and persuasive dogs, such as the previous leader of the gang, Annette. He's pretty smart and cunning himself.
Likes: Taisha, Annette, his family, his gang, street life.
Dislikes: Losing someone he loves, being fenced in or contained in small places, humans.
History: Dast's both parents were street dogs. His siblings were born and lived on the streets. Sure, learning to survive was rather difficult and one of his four siblings didn't survive, the only female one. Dast encountered dogcatchers early in his life - and fell into their hands, along with the rest of his family. Fortunately for the mutt he was adopted by a family. However, they lived in the cold Nome, Alaska. He needed a bit of a time to get used to the cold, but when he did, he found himself wanting to get out of the fenced area of the house. He wanted to find his brothers, he wanted to meet them, he missed them.
Eventually the humans left the fence gate open by a mistake and he dashed out, in search to find his brothers. Rumors spread around and he heard that all of his siblings were put down to sleep as nobody adopted them. That made Dast very depressed, he was unable to move on until he met a cunning female street mutt who eventually made him join her gang of street dogs. He was a little bit shy at first, but eventually got used to the group. However eventually, the leaders died (both the female mutt and a male Dalmatian mix) and he didn't even realize how he, himself, subconsciously became the next leader of the gang. He was content with his street life, he had some flings but he never really thought about having a long-term mate.
He only thought that until he met a wolfdog mix lying in the trash can, passed out. When she woke up, she introduced herself as Taisha and after a while, he realized he fell for her.
Relation to Balto: Mate of Taisha, Balto's daughter.
