Past Information:
-History-
Seria was born on a late February, along with her few siblings. Her mother, River, was weary and after dutifuly caring her new offspring, drifted to sleep. This allowed Denver, the alpha male and Seria's father, to believe something had gone wrong. He understood that it was not wise to disurb newborns, so he left them be. In the time span between dusk to dawn, Seria had discovered she was not alone, and was obviously surrounded by squealing balls of pale fluff. Her mother was something she held dear, though. Despite the dramabetween her young siblings, her mother's steady heartbeat was one thing that brought comfort to Seria. This also brought the beginning of a strong bond between mother and daughter.
Over time, Seria developed into a beautiful young wolf. She did have one flaw, as everyone does; she had a tomboyish streak, and this caused her to receieve punishment more often than not. She would do stupid things, things a Alpha would never even consider things. And really, they were just awful, childish pranks. Seria had a gang of followers, other juveniles who were out for trouble. Of course, she was the leader, with seven loyal followers. These other pups were reckless, and were blamed thouroughly for Seria's 'trouble'. Her mother, however, insisted her daughter was simply young, and would grow out of it. Denver did not approve. His temper raged whenever Seria even stepped in a mud puddle, at this point. She was expected to behave better, and to avoid smelling as if she had rolled in a Elk cow's larger intestine.
Seria was nearly two years old when she started training. Her mother taught her things that should have mattered, except they didn't to the ornery fae. Seria started to rebel more as time flew by, to the point she would cross into other pack territories and stir trouble there. Of course, her loyal band of followers joined her. She did not feel anything for these other yearlings. And it wasn't that big of a deal to her, anyways. OH, but it was to her father. He insisted she be paired by her third year; the year Seria's parent's would step down and allow their eldest daughter to lead. She had a steady head on her, although she was rather foolish. She did not want to lead. She did not want a mate, and she certainly didn't want to bear his pups. But, it was her duty, and something not to be ignored. So, she tried. None of the males exactly caught on, and she was fine with that. They were the past alpha's young, young Denver had allowed to stay when he fought and won for power. So, these yearlings were of no relation to her. She had no desire to be paired with a male who didn't know how to have a good time, like the proper pups who were brough up nicely.
Not long after, River had her second litter, and this made Seria run towards dangerous games. Toying with bull moose, hunting alone, even daring attack a badger for the thrill. She grew reckless, and didn't care what her parents thought of her. She had everything she wanted, being young and naive. Not a bad thing had yet happened to her. She had put a blind eye to the wounded wolves after a pack hunt. Zephyr was one of these wolves. He was born shortly after Seria, and a forbidden cub, born to two loners accepted into the pack. The mother begged for forgivness, begged for Denver to allow her only surviving pup to live. Seria had seen the whole story, saw how her father had not shown a single care, and slaughtered the mother as the pup watched. His brothers cared for him after his father was chased off, and at this point, he was a scapegoat. Lowest of the low. The dirt he padded along was worth more than him. He was so humble and kind. He was also rather intelligent, showing Seria the best places to hunt, the ways to tell. He was connected to the enviroment better than any wolf. In short, he turned Seria on. She rather liked his quiet company, and insisted he call her by her real name, and not Alpha's daughter, or Fae-In-Waiting. She would rather be Just Seria. They became close, and Denver could tell. But he did not know who Zephyr was. Otherwise, he would have severed any bonds Seria had to him long ago.
Zephyr grew to be a strong, handsome male, despite his poor treatment and little food. Seria followed in suit, becoming a brilliant beauty. They were in love at some point. Seria would have openly admitted it, except she feared for his life. He was in absolute danger. Denver would not approve (Nothing new here). It was the first day of summer that Seria's life started falling apart. Zephyr and Seria slipped away in the excitement of a fresh kill, and ran into the forest. They crossed into abandoned territories, until they came across a clearing. A beautiful clearing, with large flowers glimmering under the moon. Trees surrounded it like a barrier, and it gave a perfect view of the moon, falling. The land broke off to a cliff, and if one looked straight down, they would be gazing 30 feet down at a lake, the violent waters lapping at the stone wall.
The two spoke to each other as an equal, two friends who could possibly belong together. Seria felt a nervous prick from time to time, but otherwise remained calm. Zephyr and her sat and watched the moon set as the sun rose. "Do you miss them?" she asked quietly, staring at her paws. Zephyr looked taken aback, stunned even. "Who? My family?" he paused and considered it. He was old enough to be weaned from his mother, but he never remembered her. Just her eyes. Amber eyes that once held such happiness, gone blank. But nothing more. His brothers served him well, and had still lived at his side. But they had somewhat disowned him. They were higher than him, and when put in a situation with their friends, they would mock and taunt him like any other. So why should he? "No." his quiet response was all that was spoken for some time. "Aren't you upset? At all? I've seen them, your two brothers. They aren't kind to you. You deserve better." He agreed, mentally. "Seria, shut up." he nuzzled her with a pained expression. She did, but looked rather upset. "We should head home. I'm sure the pack thought we eloped by now." Seria rolled her eyes and silently wished they had.
What they came back to was something that changed them forever. Seria already knew something was wrong, just by seeing the entrance to a tunnel that lead to the den area. Scarlet droplsets splattered everywhere. Grass and plants had been uprooted by claws, with large prints everywhere. Seria's heart was in her throat. Zephyr looked as though he was going to be sick. They silently padded along through the quiet tunnel, and froze at what they saw. Bodies. Bodies everywhere. Blood and gore and fur, everywhere. Prints, as well. Zephyr, with a grim face, padded over to a carcass that appeared to have a foreleg ripped off and discarded a foot away. "Zephyr...." Seria whimpered and picked her way through the violence. Everyone was gone, it seemed. It didn't quiet add up, though. There were only about ten wolves in the main area. Had the others fled? It didn't appear so. Seria came back and nudged Zephyr before padding to the Alpha denning area. She was not surprised to see more gore. Her mother was in the corner, her once beautiful white coat stained with blood. Her father was beside her, with the worst of it. He had a massive gash on his side. Seria felt hot tears drip down her face as she saw her father's rib bones.
The murderer, or murderers, were not there, it seemed. Zephyr hovered beside a old she-wolf, one he had tended to when she felt ill. Now, nothing he could do would save her. He closed his eyes and grimaced in pain. But Seria rounded a corner and saw a massive, sable canine hovering over a squirming pup. Seria's youngest sister, and the only survivor. The she-wolf whipped around to glare at Seria with her ivy green eyes before forcing her paw to the pup's back. There was a sickening crack, and the pup went still. She was so little.... Her spine had been shattered by the massive she-wolf. The sable shot a steely glare at Zephyur as he looked up, and raced off into the woods with a smile. That was the day Seria changed to Seth. She had renamed herself and had left. Everything. Her parents, her siblings, her pack, even her friends. Just as Zephyr left his brothers, his father, and his mother's body from so long ago.
The two traveled across the land, abandoning the territory and simply wondering. A few times, they came across a brown male who carried a wolf- scent. But he was not pure. He helped Seth and Zephyr a few times along the way, offering food and shelter once. Zephyr did not stop, as Seth had. He went into a trance-like daze, just emtpy and hopeless and lost.  This disturbed Seth, who went on her own mental journey. They wondered until they were four years old. Seth and Zephyr met Shadow and his brother, Silver, who befirended them and allowed them to join the brother's starting pack. Over time, Zephyr lost it. Seth had fallen in love with Shadow and the two were connected. Zephyr became quiet, very quiet, and seldom spoke. He slipped away, and as Seth grew happier with Shadow, he grew more and more upset. Zephyr had completely forgotten his past, and all he wanted was Seth. To love her and to regain the bond they once shared. He loved her so much, he wanted a family with her. And oh, did he try. He tried so hard he possibly succeeded. Seth had her pups, two months later, and was not surprised when one had familiar green eyes. Eyes of her past. But this pup was a mirror image of Seth. Seria. There was a stillborn, of course, who held the truth in his coat. He had the same rusty-brown coat as a past friend of Seth, but now someone she feared. She lived a good life, and as she raced through a field on a spring night, Zephyr tried to end her joy. She had been shot by a hunter he lured over, and was soon chased away. Zephyr snapped out of his torture, just enough to see what he had done. This made him more upset, to the point of where he couldn't see straight. Seth had been abandoned, as Shadow was going to be chased away by the hunter himself, or shot for that matter. So he fled, mourning for two long years.
Seth had been dragged away by an old face. A male with tender, light eyes flecked with deep, pine green. Seth had lost everything. She had blacked out from loss of blood, and had been hurt quiet a lot, on her savior's side. He had rescued her from absolute death, and nursed her until she was healthy again. She felt as though he was like a father. They loved each other in a way. She would often ask who he was, and he would answer with a slight nod or would say, "Answers come with patience." It had been her second year when she came back and remembered everything. "What is your name, Father?" she asked, tilting her head like she so often did. He considered answering him, and with frail bones, got to his paws. "Aea." He was quiet again. She suddenly felt as though she had been it by a brick, but all her past came back. Zephyr, Denver, River, even the female who killed the last of Seria's family. But Seria had died along with them. Seth was the one alive now.
As Seth raced off, excited to see her family once again, Aea smiled gently and lay down, resting his head on his paws, before sighing. "This was for you, Zephyr."
Seth came back to Shadow, exhausted, worn ragged, and surrounded with five obnoxious pups. The one that had Zephyr's eyes smiled at Seth before racing over and greeting her. The others followed, until the entire pack had come to greet Seth. Shadow had remained alone to raise his pups, with Silver's mate caring for them. Seth was happy once more, although hurt that Zephyr had caused her two year memory-loss. Zephyr had gotten worse. He was often seen with a familiar canine. The female who killed them all.
Seth was alone, tired, and thinking when she knew the time had come. She was starting to lose her youth, and had now become a tired adult. So much had happened in the six year of her open life. She thought of Zephyr, and then realized something. Her pups were grown. Her and Shadow would be forcved to step down, to have new leaders. This concerned her, simply because she would miss her freedom with her mate. A twig snapped behind her.
Zephyr strode out. He had grown, massive now. Much taller than Seth.  Seria, too. "Seth. I'm sure you know your time has come..." he trailed off, and she understood. Perfect Zephyr was speaking, trying to put it in a nice way that he was going to kill her. But Evil Zephyr stepped in. He snarled and lunged at Seth, pinning her to the ground. She did not entierly fight him. She accepted he would destory her, no matter what. "Zephyr, why?" she murmured as he licked his chops. "Why?" he started laughing. "I have every right to do this! You discarded me, just like you discarded our son." he paused. "The pup was dead. And he wasn't 'our' cub regardless." she panted. He had no response. "You know you will die tonight, correct? You have no chance of winning." she shivered and tried to catch her breath. "I never doubted it, Zephyr."
Some time later, Zephyr stood over her broken body, her innards splashed across the snow. "It's over." he whispered as he padded off to the cliff. To think.
Her last thoughts were of him. Of their past. "Zephyr... we'll always be friends, right?" she asked, once, so long ago. When they were young, and nothing could get them. As Zephyr panicked, realizing what he had done, Seth had one thought echo through her head. "No, Zephyr. I'm the one who's sorry. I'm so sorry..."
