(Please do not ask to make him a crush or mate.)
Name: Misha
Gender: Male
Breed: Husky
Siblings: He lost count
Mate/Crush: None
Personality: Once a driven and energetic dog that took "carpe diem" very seriously, he is now bitter and brimming with internalized anger. He tries not to let it show, but he has become the master of letting too much slip, and what little friends he has knows he's become a bottle of distilled loathing.
Likes: The hum of sewing machines, morning walks, piles of fabric
Dislikes: The night, sled dogs, race season, dropped needles and pins
History: Misha was adopted to become a sled dog. He was carefully raised and conditioned for the job, and her grew up chomping at the bit to slip on that harness and go. He watched from the kennels as the team before him took off in the morning and came back in the evening. He yearned for that team, for a position of leadership, and the glory it could probably bring him.
Misha's first sled run as lead dog was a resounding success, and he was over the moon about it. But his second run wouldn't go as smoothly. It was a night run, just a quick jog. But he could barely find his way to the sled, his vision very dim. And to his horror, he couldn't see at all once he left the dimly lit porch of his home. He led the team right into a snowbank in his confusion, ending his career in two days.
Misha was diagnosed with night blindness, a trait some huskies carry. While it may be passable as a house pet, it was completely unacceptable for a working dog. When Misha told his team, they were sympathetic; they promised to remain friends even if his removal from the team would make things awkward. While the gesture was sweet, it was short lived. His first owner put him back up for adoption to make room for a dog suited to the job.
Misha was taken in by the town tailor and seamstress to keep her company in her shop. Though his new owner treated him very well, he still harbored jealousy and resentment for the team, whom he still saw around town with a new dog in his place. They never attempted to say hello since they were much too busy, but Misha took it personally and believed he had been completely replaced.
He hides away during race season, so embittered he can't even look at unrelated racers. He paints all sled dogs with the same brush, believing them to be just as flakey as the team he was forced to leave behind.
Relation to Balto: Son of Jenna.
