Personality: She's very kind, but can be angered easily. She's an introvert and needs to have time to herself. However, if she cares about someone she'll spend as much time with them as she can. She cares for others rarely, as she sees most others as idiots, but does have her few she cares about.  

History: She's Niju's niece. When she was a year old, her parents were killed by wolves of a rivaling pack. Niju raised her from there, but she got along much better with Nava. She liked his stories of Aniu, and what a kind leader he was. She had an arranged matehood with Hotah, her best friend from childhood. But one day, when she admitted to him she didn't love him romantically, he ran away from the pack, crestfallen.  

When Aleu arrived she was hesitant about the whole idea. She was also very new to the pack, so she didn't fully trust her. Only Nava's ressaurance comforted her about the whole thing, but she was torn between listening to Nava and her uncle, Niju. When Aleu leaves with the pack, she decides its best she goes with her uncle, and swims back to the shore of the old territory. She arrives shortly after Balto sees Aniu, and leaves. She smells both Balto and Nava, but can't seem to pick up the scent of Niju anywhere. She tries to search for the other two, but can't find them.

On her search to find anyone, she bumps into her old mate, Hotah. They become friends again, and he understands that it wasn't her choice to be with him, and that it might not work out all the time that way. However, he admits that he still loves her dearly, and will follow her wherever she goes. She feels extremely guilty about this, but accepts it. The two friends travel far enough to reach a town, but at this point Moema is weak. Hotah tells her to lay down, while he searches for shelter and food. During this time, a team of dogs pass by her. Within the half hour, a dog from that team, Saomik, finds her, and tries to help her. She refuses this help, but Saomik is stubborn and brings food to her anyway. Saomik ends up helping her and Hotah get back on their feet, and while Hotah wants to leave, it seems like Moema wants to stay.
