NAME: Cottrell

ORIGIN: Named for Cottrell Basin, which is located near Juneau

GENDER: Male

AGE: Young adult

BREED: Wolfdog

PERSONALITY: Somewhat curious and forever possessing child-like qualities, Cottrell is the eldest out of the litter but is the baby of his family. He is irresponsible and somewhat oblivious to the feelings of other people around him, so is naturally a loner due to his wolf origins and possesses a well-hidden intelligence and a selfish streak. Due to the latter, his relationship with his human family fell threw almost immediately and he was taken to a training facility near Fairbanks to be put into place. He currently resides in the town with a soldier and, although not counting the human as his packmate or alpha, he does refer to him as 'the guy who feeds me'.

VOICE: Scott Wolf

RELATION TO BALTO UNIVERSE: My version of the red-striped pup. So, the son of Balto and Jenna.

STORY: As explained above, he is the eldest son of Balto and Jenna; although leadership in the litter fell to Aleu more so than him. He never really had a close relationship with any of his siblings and the only contact he would have with them would be sparring and doing bland, puppyish things. Upon being adopted, his wolfish nature came out in waves as he never warmed up to human company and always desired to be out on his own. To worsen his reputation, he looked down upon the dogs of Nome and - in a role reversal of his father - would bully them for being lazy, stupid pets. These actions were completely without malice, however, as his natural instinct to survive and achieve dominance throughout the town prevented him fully accepting a quiet life like his siblings. He especially becomes restless after Aleu disappears and this prompts his human owner to relocate him to Fairbanks and to what could only be described as a step up from an obediance school. Being trained for the military would help Cottrell satisfy his prey drive and to hold a grudging respect for the well-built, somewhat firm humans that surround him.

OTHER: Is basically just a red version of Aleu, with darker ears and blue eyes and such. His tail is always curled like a husky's.
