Name: Cikuq (Inuit for 'ice')
Breed: Grey Wolf
Eye Colour: Green
Pack: Aleu's pack
Parents: Niju and an unknown female
Siblings: Itigiaq (brother)
Mate: None
Children: None
Personality: Cikuq certainly takes after her father, with a hot temper and the stubbornness of a mule. Most of the time, it's either her way or nothing at all. She is still very loyal to her friends and pack, and would die if it meant keeping them from harm. She can be quick to judge strangers, but if you show her that you are trustworthy, she will slowly begin to warm up to you. She is a great hunter as her father taught her when she was young, hoping to have his child take down Nava. Although she is very stubborn and with a fiery temper, she tries her best to help others who cannot help themselves. She tries to keep herself to herself, and spends a lot of time wandering the forest alone. She does like pups, but they quickly get on her nerves, and she certainly isn’t the kind to have her own, or even get a mate.
Likes: Getting her own way, Aleu, hunting when she can, going for walks, keeping her pack safe, her packmates, being independant, pups, relaxing, watching the sunset and sunrise, nice weather, caribou, water/swimming, keeping herself busy, winning an arguement or fight, Nava, being with her friends, Autumn (the season), sparring, spending time alone, watching sled races (from afar)
Dislikes: Her father, not getting her own way, large crows around her, being bothered, flirty males, snow, bad weather, humans/hunters, most dogs, losing (at anything), thunder and lightening, loud bangs, her scars and partial blindness, how she is unable to hunt anymore, ravens, particularly rambunctious pups, her brother and his idiotic plans, being crept up on, flirting, fish
History: Cikuq and her brother came to be after Niju had a scheme that he could maybe produce a pup that could maybe help to take down Nava. However, a short while after the two pups were born, Niju had moved on from this idea, deciding that he wanted to take down Nava by himself. He left the female he had sired the cubs with one stormy night, and hoped to hear nothing more of it. His plan was foiled however, after the mother turned up one day with both the pups and basically left them on Niju's doorstep and left, proclaiming that it was his responsibility to raise them, and promptly left. Stuck with two unwanted children, Niju tried to raise them the best he can.
Cikuq had never really bonded with her mother all too much, and so didn't really mind that she lived with her father. She thought it would be great fun, having never met her father before and wanting to see what her father was like. However, Niju, unsure what else to do, forced her to train day in and day out, and she never really got a taste of what fun was like. She grew into a fine young female, who aspired to be leader of the hunting squad in the pack although she still was rather young. She would also spend a lot of time with Nava, much to the chagrin of her father, who of course wanted him to step down from the pack so he could become alpha himself. Cikuq definatley did not agree with her father's treatment of the elder wolf, and slowly began to hate him over time, seeing how he truly was. When Aleu and her father arrived on the scene, she became good friends with Aleu, and was partly reminded of herself: after all, they were both rebellious teens in their both of their father's eyes, although in different ways.
When it emerged they would have to leave their homeland and gross the river to follow the caribou, Cikuq was totally behind her friend, and of course wasn't surprised when her father objected. Thinking nothing of it, she continued to journey across the ice, not knowing about her father's 'demise' or the fact that Nava had to stay behind. When Aleu joined them again and told her friend what had happened, Cikuq was deeply saddened, both about Nava having to stay behind and her father's apparent demise, although she disliked him. She helped Aleu set out a territory for the new pack, and became the beta of the pack, and leader of the hunting party.
One day when Cikuq was leading a seemingly normal hunt, she misjudged her timing and was kicked in the left eye by a caribou, which ended up blinding her and giving her two scars, one across her blinded eye and one on the bridge of her nose. She had to step down from her position, which she definatley was not happy about, even though she was incapable of hunting correctly anymore. She became the 'grumpy old lady' of the pack, even though she wasn't quite old yet. She continued to help Aleu with the pack even when she got herself a mate, up until she eventually died of old age.
Relation to Balto: Cikuq is the daughter of Niju, and later a member of Aleu's pack.
