Name: Eugene
Nicknames: Gene
Age: 2 years old
Crush: Rose (c) Vit
Crushes on him: Rose
Mate: Rose
Pups: Winston, Hemet, Patrick Jr, Everett, and Ebbie
Breed: 1/2 Husky, 1/2 German Shepard
Personality: Eugene would probably be the dog version of the lonely kid at school. He is very shy and he prefers to isolate himself from others because it's hard for him to socialize. He also gets very nervous when he talks to people he doesn't know, especially girls. When someone does try to talk to him he begins stuttering and doesn't know what to say and he also begins shaking a bit. And when the person talking to him is a female dog or a dog picking on him, his nervousness only gets worse.
Because of nervous personality, he is an easy target for being picked on and made fun of, which only hurts his self esteem even more. He doesn't bother to fight back when someone begins making fun of him or beating him up because he's not very strong, and he's usually to scared to fight back so he either tries to crawl away or wait until they get bored with him and move on.
Likes: Rose, Patrick, Archer, his new owner, being accepted, not being made fun of or picked on, people or dogs that treat him well
Dislikes: Being made fun of or picked on, being hated, being nervous, being shy, going out in public, not having friends, not being loved or cared for, being alone, being in large crowds
History: Eugene was born to a Husky mother and a German Shepard father that were bred together by their owners in a litter of 6. He was the runt of the litter and he was the last one born, so he was an easy target for his siblings. To make things worse, he was born into his parent's second litter and the pups from their first litter were 3 months old and still living with them so now he became a target for not only his siblings in his litter, but for his older siblings as well.
Because of the constant flow of insults, put downs, and even occasional beat ups, Eugene was soon seen as the reject by his siblings and none of them would play with him, or even show him any respect which greatly upset him and caused him to become depressed and antisocial. He couldn't really talk to his parents about it because they weren't home a lot and when they were home, they were too busy deal with his rambunctious siblings to listen to him. He felt as if he was completely helpless so he would just isolate himself from his family and just hope that things would get better.
After the pups from his parent's first litter were adopted off, Eugene had hoped that things would get better, but now his current siblings had less people to play or annoy so they began turning toward Eugene more. Now Eugene couldn't isolate himself as much because his siblings would just keep up with the insults and beat ups and instead of things getting better, they only got worse. Then the day came when they would be adopted and surprisingly, Eugene was the first pup to be adopted! He hoped that leaving his abusive siblings would rid him of the hate, but he was wrong.
After he was adopted, his owner moved to Nome and tried to get Eugene to become a sled dog. He didn't want to become one, but he was forced into training by his owner. Eugene could never pick up on any of the skills or improve his performance, so he became a very poor candidate for a sled dog. He was trained on every position, but nothing worked. He soon became well known for his screw ups and failures among the town's dogs and he was once again being made fun of and laughed at. But now he was dealing with much older dogs that didn't know who he was. Now the insults and beat ups were even worse than before, which only made his nervousness, shyness, and desire to be alone greater!
After several long months of failed training, his owner was fed up. One night while his owner was driving through town with Eugene in the cab, he stopped his truck next to an alleyway, picked up Eugene by the scruff of the neck and told him "No wonder everyone hates you, you can't do anything right." and then tossed him out the window into a pile of trash and sped off. Now he was completely alone. Eugene had never felt so hated and rejected in his whole life. For almost 2 weeks, he lived in alleyways and in trash with barely anything to eat or drink, and no one bothered to help him.
One night a man was walking through an alleyway while heading home and he stumbled upon Eugene hiding underneath a pile of trash. The man felt bad for the pup so he decided to take him home. Eugene was scared of him at first, but there was something different about this man, he was actually being kind to Eugene! It took some moments of convincing to get Eugene out from under the trash, but once he was, the man took him home and gave him food and water. It felt good to have something to eat and drink, but what felt even better was to finally be loved.
After a couple months, Eugene was living a great life with his new owner, but his life among the other dogs hadn't gotten any better so he was still his usual shy, nervous, and lonely self. Then one day he had a confrontation with one of Nome's police dogs, Archer [(c) Joshthecoyote] which led into a fight. After bringing Eugene back to his owner, him and Archer's owner began talking about maybe having Archer and Eugene become friends. Eugene didn't like this idea because he was scared about being around Archer because of the fight they had, but Archer was willing to give it a try. It took some time to get over his fear of Archer, but he was finally able to feel better about being around him and Archer liked being around him as well. For once, Eugene actually had a friend!
Shortly after meeting Archer, Eugene bumped into a female wolf named Rose that was living in Nome with her adopted father Patrick. When he realized who he bumped into he became his usual nervous self because he always got extremely nervous around females, but instead of Rose making fun of him for it, she actually thought it was cute so she asked if they wanted to go out. Eugene was a little surprised by this because he didn't think any girl liked him, but after realizing that she wasn't like all the others, he felt a little more comfortable being around her, so he agreed to it.
After their first date, it seemed like Rose and Eugene had become a perfect couple! He even got to meet Rose's father Patrick, and he really liked him as well. It seemed he finally made friends. However after several months of dating they broke up due to an argument that led to personal things. But about a month later, they once again ran into each other. Feeling bad about what he said, he apologized for what he said hoping things between them would at least get better. Luckily, things between them became better and they soon began going out again. Soon after, they finally admitted their true feelings for each other by saying that they loved each other and then after that, they became mates and they soon had their first litter of pups! The boys in the litter were Winston, Hemet, and Patrick Jr. and the girls were Everett and Ebbie. Now Eugene feels happier than he ever has before and he hopes that he'll be able to be liked among the entire town.
