For most of Rachen's life tradegy has defined him. One of the first things he can remember is his parents being killed by local hunters near the village of White Mountain. After his parent's death Rachen had to fend for himself in the harsh Alaskan wilds. Rachen developed a reputation as a loner and he never was able to integrate into any wolf pack he came into contact with. The few friends he did let into his life helped him sort out the years of mental scars that destroyed his sense of self-worth. One very bad winter left Rachen near death from starvation, as he felt death coming for him before he fell unconscious he felt someone grab onto his scruff and hoist him onto their back. When Rachen awoke he was in a cave and noticed a large grey wolf standing over him. The wolf introduced himself as Nava and that he had followed Rachen's scent for a number of days hoping to help him. Nava nursed Rachen back to health and helped heal his soul of the years of trauma. Nava offered Rachen a place within his pack and Rachen gladly accepted. Rachen remained in the pack after Aleu took over for Nava and went with the pack across the sea to Russia where he continues to live happily after finally putting his tragic past behind him.
