Lyon was born in Nome, his parents Tanai and Kiska were both members of the Nome's mail sled dog team. One day a rather bad storm blew in and the team was lost in a blizzard. By the time the team was found both Tanai and Kiska had lost their lives. With his parents dead Lyon was forced to fend for himself on the streets of Nome, his sense of curiosity often go him into trouble with the people in Nome and they regarded him as a nuisance. When Balto saved Nome from the diphtheria epidemic, Lyon decided that he needed to do something more with his life other than be a nuisance to the people of Nome. He decided to follow in his parents’ paw prints and become a member of the mail team, when he approached the members of the team they laughed and rejected him saying that nobody couldn't be a member of the team especially since he was regarded by the people of Nome as an annoyance. Lyon initially took the rejection by the team hard and stayed away from them but after a while his stubbornness got the better of him and he decided to follow the team on their next mail run. After shadowing the team on its way to White Mountain, Lyon raced the team to White Mountain. The dogs on the team were shocked that Lyon would even attempt such a thing and decided to teach him a lesson after they got back to Nome. But Lyon raced ahead of the team and made it to White Mountain before the team did and afterwards beat them back to Nome. The musher of the team was surprised that Lyon who he knew as the "nuisance of Nome" could actually run faster than any of the dogs on his team. As a result he made Lyon a member of the team and in time Lyon met Kodi, the son of Balto and they became friends.

One day while the team was delivering mail to the nearby towns a rather bad blizzard settled in and Lyons harness and connection to the gang line of the sled was torn by the icy wind. Lyon was separated from the team and wandered through the Alaskan wilderness trying to find his way back to Nome. He eventually found his way to the forests outside of White Mountain and there he met Jordan, a wolf. Initially Lyon was hesitant to even be near the female wolf but something in him told him that this wolf could help him get back to Nome safely. Jordan helped Lyon get back to Nome and for that Lyon never forgot the wolf who had helped him. Lyon couldn't get the wolf out of his mind and he went looking for her eventually he found her drinking from a stream. Lyon hid himself from the wolf watching her but she sense he was there and asked for him to reveal himself. He did and said that he was grateful for her helping him back to Nome but Jordan sensed this wasn't all the husky felt. Lyon worked up the courage to tell her how he felt and from then on they were mates. Jordan stayed out of Nome for fear of the humans that lived there but stayed in the forests enjoying the freedom that only wolves know. Lyon was adopted a husky pup named Jenny that he found one day scrounging through a garbage can. He made her part of his family and they lived together in Nome. Lyon spends his time now running mail to the various villages around Nome and spending time walking along the beaches of Nome looking at the sea. He sees Jordan occasionally but she still fears the humans in Nome and doesn't venture close to the town. Lyon's life finally has meaning and purpose and is filled with the happiness that was robbed from him as a pup. He is no longer regarded as the "nuisance of Nome" but instead has found acceptance in the community of Nome and amongst its people.
