Personality: she's a attention seeker and tends to get jealous easily. Otherwise shes very loyal to her friends and family (or she used to be). She's a bit of the 'high and mighty' type, and tends to look down on others. After her jealousy of Crysa had overtaken her, Mena's personality changed drastically. She became worse then Aunt Margret had ever been, and became obsessed with bloodlines and her reputation. So obsessed that she took drastic measures to insure she would have grandpups worthy of sharing her lineage....

Pups: Comet and Jinx

History: She was adopted by a couple of librarians, so they weren't around a lot. They eventually sold her to the owner of the post office. Her new owner had a young black female pup who seemed interested in Mena. The two had nothing in common, but still got along rather well, mainly by teasing each other good naturedly. Still seeking companionship, Mena ventured next door and made friends with a white female named Crysa. The two became great friends and are hardly ever seen apart.

After awhile, Mena's owner sold her to get two new dogs. Mena now lives across the street from Crysa and her old home.

When her friend Crysa /finally/ (as Mena put it) developed a crush (two, really), Mena started giving her all sorts of tips on how to grasp the boys attention. Crysa politely refused them all, which made Mena a bit sore. However she was happy for her friend. At least for awhile...

As little time went on, Mena slowly became jealous that Crysa had /three/ (she counts Mitch) guys falling over her, and no males were giving Mena a second glance. Mena became rather cold towards her friend, and when Crysa accepted one of the males as a mate, Mena snapped and (physically) attacked Crysa when her "friend" told her the news.

Overcome with jealousy, Mena ran off into the woods. When night fell, she realized she was lost. She wandered for a bit, when a male wolf came along and offered her a place to stay. Mena accepted and he showed her a cave.

Once in the cave, the wolf began flirting (very suggestive, flirting) with her, complimenting her looks and such. Mena felt smug that a male wanted her and not Crysa (shes pretty much lost it, and is desperate at this point) and accepted his offer. The two had a "night of fun", but the wolf was gone before Mena woke up the next morning. 

Refusing to be ashamed or have her "reputation" stained by her actions, she went back home, head high and not talking to anyone. Mena never spoke to, and rarely saw, Crysa after that. Even Charley was dumped by Mena as a friend.

After a bit, Mena discovered she was pregnant. She lied and told everyone that the pups father was a prized show-dog who had to leave due to his owners. No one ever questioned it (mainly out of fear).

When the pups were born, both had their fathers dark coat, and the boy had his yellow eyes. Mena promply named the boy Comet, and in disgust that the female was smaller and had her markings, named her Jinx.

Mena was, without saying the least, a overbearing mother. She told them the truth of their father, but swore them to secrecy and constantly made a point of saying they were a mistake, especially Jinx, since her daughter wouldn't follow her example and was more interested in making friends then acting superior.

Mena snapped at the pups a lot, but Comet stood up and fought back. Jinx would cower under their mothers yelling, and Comet would step in and defend her.

When Mena found out that Jinx had told one of her friends that she was part wolf, she was (verbally) brutal with her daughter. At this point, Comet was pretty large, and he defended his sister. At the end of the fight, Comet stormed out of the house, and Jinx fled to the bedroom.

Comet was taken in by the butcher after the fight, but Jinx was stuck with Mena. Mena pretty much ignored her daughter after that, and when a accident happened to Jinx, Mena showed no comfort for her horrified child. She snapped at her, saying it was her own fault and she must never tell anyone what had happened.

Comet came and took Jinx to live with him after that, and Mena rarely saw them again. However, Mena managed to still hold a controlling shadow over Jinx, and kept her in constant fear of angering her mother, no matter how many times Comet would tell her it didn't matter what their "mother" thought.
