about time I put her up (: Adopted a little while ago from Bizarre. Thanks so much <3333
Name: Beulah-Jean(pronounced Byuu-lah) (nickname is mostly Bee, or B.J)
age: young-about a year
gender: Female
Parents: Casser and Indigo
breed: Saluki/Schnauzer/Blue merle border collie/Blue heeler/Stag hound/Siberian Husky/Koolie
siblings: Alatu and ?
personality: Sweet, optimistic and naive. Very thoughtful towards others, incredibly trusting once she gets out of her "timid and shy" shell (usually she's like that in new situations)
She is always a true blue friend, and someone you can trust with a secret. She is one of those clumsy girls who it is easy to play jokes on, or make fun of, but she never thinks ill of you, just turns the other cheek and keeps on being sweet. (Which in turn makes YOU feel slightly guilty for whatever you did to her.)
Beulah always try to make the best of situations and think the best of others, no matter how meanhearted or grumpy they may be.
Hard working and eager to please, Beaulah is happiest when she can make others happy. Her cheerfulness is contagious.
She is very shy around boys, and definitely not much of a flirt...After what her mother told her about males, she is a bit weary, but after she meets Bear, she will not turn them away, thinking that her mother is just..wrong for once. Bee had always been very obedient to her mother, and making sure she was a daughter her mother could be proud of.
She has a thing for small animals, and has a very caring nature, tending to take a mothering role over anything that comes her way.
People would use the word "simple" to describe her. She's sweet and all, but most others tend to think she's sweet and dumb.
While she turns the other cheek to this....it doesn't mean she isn't hurt....
Bee is very sensitive on the inside, however she has the immense patience to put up with other's stupidity and ignorance without lashing out.
But everyone has their breaking point.......

history:
Bee had stayed most of her life with her mother, and was the last to leave (Bee felt she needed to stay with her mother and keep her company) As Bee got older, she felt the need to get out more, she wandered around the woods and the shore for a while, observing the wildlife and checking in on any baby animals she had found (usually birds)
This went on for a while, before she started mustering the courage to go into town and have some real friends.
The first weeks were awkward for her. She never had any practice in socializing. Bee managed to stumble along and timidly watch people pass by. After the secluded calmness of the forest and shore, the town was a bit overwhelming for her. Some dogs seemed to notice her presence, looking over at her or barking....Others couldn't care less. She passed several days just awkwardly standing outside local haunts, like the post office and the butcher shop, doing her best to make small talk with any dog that was waiting outside as well.
As each day went by, Bee got a little more acclamated with the town, she got along by watching how other people interacted. Sometimes she felt more confident and was friendly to people she ran into. Word got around about the "new kid."
Every day, she made it her goal to explore a little of the town each day. It just so happened that she found the higher class end of the town. Rich ladies would take their dogs out after their lavish cocktail parties. The dogs were well groomed, proud and beautiful. Bee longed to be like them. She looked up them! The way they carried themselves, and how they looked so confident..it inspired her! If only she could be like that too..... She watched them as they walked, trying to gather the courage to talk to them. One of them noticed her, and gave her a look. She leaned over and whispered something to her companions. Bee looked at them shyly, and slightly embarrassed...where they talking about her?....
To her amazement, they walked up to her.
"Um...Hello." One prissy looking girl stated awkwardly.
"H-Hi..." Bee answered shyly. She wagged her tail nervously.
The three dogs glanced at each other, and one of them smiled cordially. "I'm Molly, this is Chiffon, "(the prissy one nodded)"And this purebred Spaniel is Adella... And you are?.."
"B-Beulah Jean....But you can call me-"
"Beulah Jean?" The three snickered.
"We'll call you just Beulah dah-ling." Molly said quickly.
"You've got too much of a low class name." Chiffon giggled.
Bee looked perplexed..but she only nodded and smiled.
"Come hang out with us. A walk after a party is simply divine," Adella grinned.
Bee hesitated for a moment, then smiled back, "Alright"...she said softly.
-----
It wasn't long before Bee realized what kind of company she had associated herself with. Pure bred snobs who had nothing better to do than criticize others, no matter who they might be.
Bee tried to reason with herself. Maybe they dont act like that every day.... She thought.
But it continued. And having noone else to be with..she stayed with them..she didn't want to be alone anymore.
But being with them made her feel obsessively self conscious. There was always something wrong with her according to them: She didn't talk right, walk right, hold her head up correctly, her fur was correctly groomed, she didn't have the latest in designer collars, and didn't talk bad about others that they targeted and on and on and on....
While they looked good and proud on the outside..on the inside they were the nastiest dogs in town...and they tried to change her into something else, making poor Bee wear ribbons and bows, and choking collars. While Bee was very hesitant about this, she decided not to leave, or say anything against this.
This went on for almost too long and Bee began to get tired and frustrated, until one day another female came by the group.
A lovely blonde dog, her name was Saffron, and while slightly girly, she had a better attitude than the others. Bee and Saffron became good friends..the other dogs filtered out of Bee's life..saying that they were "too busy" for her now. And honestly...Bee couldn't have cared less and now called them by what they really were. "Snobs"
Saffron explained that she wasn't really part of the "snobs", she just said "Hello" every once in a while to keep up appearances. Saffy never hesitated to introduce Bee to her REAL friends. A motley group of dogs, the talkative Ginny, the paranoid Alaki and the sweet, unassuming male, Bear.
Though shy with them at first, Bee found this group turned out to be much more friendly and relaxed.
Out of the whole group, she was closest with Bear. Bee could feel herself blush whenever she thought about him. He was charming and cute..rather ideal for someone like her.The two were good friends and understood each other very well...He was her type of friend, a good listener and full of humor.
That is...when he wasn't being stalked by his many admirers....
It became clear all too soon that Bear was the guy the ladies cooed over. While having no particular interest in them,(and being somewhat slow in the flirt department) Bear was constantly being followed by a bunch of talkative girls who squealed and flirted with him(This also included Saffron, which made Bee and Bear's friendship a bit awkward, she was always trying to get his attention).
Nonetheless, Bear always tried to make time to hang out with Bee alone. The two would take short walks and just talk.
Unfortunately, the snobs figured this out and spread a rumor that Bee and Bear were "together."
Saffron heard about this and was furious with Bee.
Bee protested, but it did no good. Saffy would not listen, and would not speak to her. Bee felt heartbroken, and hurt by the lies..
she had lost Saffron's trust and friendship...and all because of those horrible lies...
Their friendship would never be the same...
From then on, Saffron hogged Bear almost twice as much. Bee could only look from afar, and try to continue with life and try to clear up the rumors that had spread around.
After seeing all the trouble Bear had with girls, Bee decided to put her feelings aside, and not become another burden to him...
Another female admirer is all I would be, she thought miserably.
Angry as she was, Bee still did not confront the snobs.
--------
A few weeks later, Athena, supposedly Bear's sister, arrived out of nowhere, and clung to him CONSTANTLY. (click her char page for more info)
Bee knowing Bear had enough to deal with, stepped in and said she would take care of her for him. Bear greatfully accepted her help.
Bee did her best to comfort Athena after all she had gone through, and became her care taker and companion.
One day, Bee showed Athena around the busy and crowded town, and they ran into...(guess who?.... :p ) the SNOBS!
Bee tried to politely avoid them, but they had already seen her and the timid, nervous looking Athena, and they loudly insulted both of them. Other dogs began to look in their direction and murmured to each other..It looked like a another show down between the snobs and anther poor victim...
Inwardly...Bee began to seethe with built up anger...
The prissy girls continued to bad mouth her and her friends.
Bee had enough.
and she exploded in anger.
"I've had enough!" She yelled. "ENOUGH! You hear me? All you do is criticize others for being different! Well being different is much better than being part of your group of CLONES and BULLIES! "
The snobs stared open mouthed at her...a heavy silence filled the air.. everyone stared at Bee absolutely shocked....Noone had ever had the boldness to defy the Snobs.
Bee stood there for a few moments, breathing heavily, when she finally realized what she had done.
Blushing furiously, she grabbed Athena by the scruff and ran out of town.
Future:
All that week, the gossip in the town was about the "bold young 'un who showed the snobs their place."
Bee, though embarrassed by her undignified outburst eventually felt proud of herself for letting go of the harboring feelings.
Though she rarely felt like going into town, other dogs respected her more and her friends complimented her courage.
The snobs hadn't changed though. They were just incredibly riled, and spread rumors about Bee being "two faced." "Innocent on the outside and an undignified schemer on the inside."
These rumors bounced off Bee. She was finished with them and for good. And so it seemed the town was too. Though she was still viewed as a strange girl, the other dogs of the town felt no bad feelings towards her.
Bee continues taking care of Athena. Athena's original owner eventually finds them together, and though the two provide comfort to him... he decides to sell the two to a family named Jones. They were new people living in town (who had just moved from Texas). The Jones family buys Athena and Bee as company for their young teenage daughter, Idallyis (I-Dallas).
That's as far as I've gotten on the future so far. From what I'm thinking, Athena and Bee will stay with the family. But Bee will keep up relations with her friends (Bear and Ginny etc) You know me, I think it out as I go xD
She still harbors a secret liking for Bear, but again..she feels she's too much of a burden.
Bee will look for a mate in the future, but she won't have much of a "she meets a guy and they fall in love and become mates" ending...She might not even find someone for her. But who knows at this point? xD
She will also cheerfully make friends with a recluse named Raven, and help her care for a pup named Isis. (read char page for info)
crush: Bear. But she put her feelings aside for him, feeling that she would be just another girl following after him...like extra baggage.
other:
Her favorite color is green (:
Very shy and timid when it comes to new situations, but after a little while, she becomes very trusting.
Ironically, she doesnt like Bees, they scare her xD
[b]How she feels about her parents
Indigo: Bee loves her mother. She always tried to be supportive towards her mother, no matter what, always being obedient, trying to be a good girl. Eventually Bee gets old enough to realize that she should be able to make her own decisions, and timidly goes out of her mother's authority.
Casser Well.she doesnt know much about him of course, but from what she can deduce..and according to her mother's behavior, he might not have been very likeable. However, she reasons that she has never MET him and she can't judge until she sees him for herself.
Why I would like her/PURPOSE:
She would help develop the stories and interactions of my characters Bear, Ginny, Athena, Raven and Saffron(char pages below).
She'd be a great addition to my art..I REALLY love drawing her, I might try writing a one-shot story that involves her. I would also have fun rendering her.
I'm also quite happy with the story I've made for her as well. I like the contrast of her personality compared to Alatus and Indigo's xD
Plus, I love the design, hurrhurr :B I would really love to have her! xD
