Name: Dingo
Age: Early teens
Sex: Male
Personality: Dingo is very timid and he hates to be the center of attention. Dingo thinks that he is the "unlucky" one because all of his older siblings went on to "be something" in life and he was still living, jobless, with his parents. Dingo has never had the opportunity to make any friends because of his timidness, but the young dog’s luck changed when his life was spared at the mercy of a brave sea lion.
Parents: Balto and Jenna
Siblings: "Havoc", Saba, Kodi, Aleu; Marcus (1st litter)
Bullet, Alexandra, Dee-Dee; Arrow (2nd litter)
Gator, Cajun, Colt, Blé; Terris (3rd litter)
History: Dingo was born two seconds after his older brother, Marcus, and, when they all got older, Marcus always reffered to Dingo as his "little brother", making fun of both Dingo’s age and height. This made Dingo angery and he always told Marcus that two seconds didn’t count; they were both the same age. Marcus laughed endlessly and commented on Dingo’s height again; how he was the shortest pup in the litter.
After the whole gang of siblings split up when they got their own jobs or when they settled down to have a family, Dingo was still in the background and he still lived with his parents after the little boy’s family, who adopted him, could no longer keep him. It took months for a musher to see Dingo’s potential and she adopted him and put him in the harness right away.
It took another few months for Dingo to finally get the hang of sledding; he fell in love with his job and did it with pride in being the son of the Hero Balto and for finally feeling like he could be something in life.
The next spring, Dingo was getting a week-long break and he went down to the harbor to chase away the seagulls; the young dog accidently fell into the ocean, and, to make matters worse, a raging orca was just a few feet from him. The killer whale seemed more interested in the sea lions crowded on a nearby dock but with all the splashing Dingo was making, he attracted the carnivore’s attention. Believing that it was all over, Dingo shut his eyes and waited for the stinging pain of the orca’s teeth sinking into his flesh...tat never came.
Opening his eyes, Dingo witnessed a brave sea lion attacking the predator; more and more sea lions dived into the water and they all drove the orca off.
After climbing back onto the dock, Dingo thanked the lone sea lion for saving his life and he introduced himself; the sea lion replied that she "had no other choice" and introduced herself as Tide.
It didn’t take long for the two to start hanging out and they became inseparable friends. Dingo and Tide got closer and closer, so close that the two fell in love with each other.
Dingo loved Tide so much that it hurt because, when he told his parents and siblings, Marcus laughed and asked why Dingo couldn’t "just fall in love with a ‘normal girl’." Dingo looked at his father for answers, but all Balto could do was say that their relationship might not work out.
Feeling betrayed and humiliated, Dingo ran out of the shed and into the night. The next morning, Dingo didn’t return home nor did he arrive at work; Dingo had went down to the beach to hang out with Tide. He stayed there and at the harbor for three more days before returning back to work.
Crush: Tide
Mate: No.
Puppies: No.
Crushes on him?: Open
Dingo’s Relationship with "Havoc"
-"We never had a close relationship; he was adopted right after I was but, even as pups, "Havoc" and wasn’t close to anybody. When I was older and got the news that he was around my area, I went out ti find him and when I did, he didn’t remember me. After getting re-acquainted, we caught up on lost time. I never saw him after that day."
Dingo’s Relationship with Saba
-"I love my sister with all my heart; she always found time for me whenever my other siblings couldn’t. Saba was always someone who I could talk to about whatever; when I told my family about my feelings about Tide, she was the only one one agreed with me (besides Mom) and she told me to go for it."
Dingo’s Relationship with Kodi
-" He always teamed up with Saba when I was getting teased by Marcus and told him to back off. He tried his best to find time for me, but after I got adopted, I never saw him again until a few months after I got my job. Kodi taught me how to pull a sled smoothly on the side. When I announced my feelings for Tide, Kodi had nothing to say. Not in a bad way, but more like he couldn’t find any encouraging words for me. No matter though, I’ll always support him like he supports me."
Dingo’s Relationship with Aleu
-" She was so robust and rough as a kid! Aleu was always on the go and she loved to drag me and Kodi unto her crazy races. Kodi could never keep up, though, so we encouraged him to keep trying. I can’t remember the last time I saw Aleu, but I know we were really young and its been years, lots of years!, since I’ve last saw her...
Dingo’s Relationship with Marcus
-" We were never close, even as kids; Marcus always teased me for, not just me height, but also for my "nerdish" personality and because he thought that I was a wimp. I was actually glad to get adopted first so that I wouldn’t get bothered by Marcus. Unfortunately, when I went to our family get together, Marcus was there. I thought he’d changeed, so I went ahead and confessed my love for Tide and Marcus laughed at me and cruely asked me whi I couldn’t "just fall in love with a ‘normal girl’" (he meant like Laquisha, the spotted breeding sog whom he had a crush on) I ran away that night and returned to work three days later; I hoped I never see him again!"
Dingo’s Relationship with Balto
-" Well, he’s my dad. I guess we’re kinda close, but maybe not as close as when I was a pup; now that I’ve got this job...well I really don’t get to see him as often as I want..."
Dingo’s Relationship with Jenna
-" I think I’m really close to Mom ‘cuz she’s just like Saba: Sweet, kind, honest, and she has a big heart. Honestly, I wish I had a ton of breaks on my job just so I can go and visit her.
Dingo’s Relationship with Tide
-" She’s my, one and truly, best friend; I’ll stay forever loyal and faithful to her because, to her, I owe my life. I’m really in love with her; yes, I know: a dog and a sea lion together just isn’t..."right". I don’t care though; I love Tide and that’s that. Nobody can change who my heart belongs to."
