Dislikes: Being alone, being called his full name, feeling helpless, losing races, being betrayed by friends
Personality: Tulu is a dog-sledding husky, through and through. He is happiest when he is leading a sled team, with his sledmate friends, or when in the presence of his lovely Anyu and their family together. He is very picky when it comes to finding love, as he's got standards for what a girl's got to it tends to make him seem like a difficult nut to crack, but he’s very protective of those he’s close to. That protectiveness makes him seem almost wild, and he can be easily unstable when in this state.
=============================
Quick Backstory: In 1916, he was born in a Siberian Husky breeding farm somewhere near White Mountain, Alaska with the name "Blacki” without any real knowledge of his parents’ names. The only thing he could remember about them is that one of them was black and white, the other was brown, abnd that there were a few others in the litter. At the young weanable age of six weeks, "Blacki" was sold to a musher from Nome named Mr. Davisson who noticed his talent at first sight. Noticing his black-as-night fur, he christened the pup with a new name based on the musher's Inuit heritage - Tulugaq, the "raven".
It took a year of constant training before Mr. Davisson put Tulu onto a sled team to see how well he'd work in a team. Despite being a wheel dog to start, his speed and how he acted amongst his sledmates when work was done proved to the musher that Tulu was meant for the lead. By 1919, Tulugaq had made a name for himself, being called "The Black Raven" by fans and spectators. The team was doing well, as was Mr. Davisson himself, and the next thing on his list? Breeding. The musher knew that any dog team would love to have a pup that was a descendent of such a talented husky, but Tulu never seemed interested in any purebred female that his master brought to be with him. It seemed that the black and white husky would be barren for the rest of his career, however long that lasted, that is.
During a sled run in 1921, Tulu's line snapped while they were on a mountain cliff close to Nome. The Black Raven was separated from his team, and the other dogs and his musher figured that the husky was dead; however, Tulu was still alive, but not out of danger yet as he ran into a wolf pack's territory and was taken prisoner. Luckily, a white wolf named Anyu had grown curious of the husky and under her watchful eye, she taught him all about life in a wolf pack. Unfortunately for them both, the more time they spent together, the closer they grew... and soon their love led to pups in their near future.
Banished from the safety of the wolves because of their forbidden romance, Tulu watched as his children were born during a rough winter blizzard, but he couldn't have felt warmer by being by Anyu's side. However, they still were not safe from vengeful wolves that wished death upon them and their pups. For their safety, Tulu took his scruffy-looking son named Balto back to the world he knew well - back to Nome - and left the sleeping pup in a wooden box. He would never see his children again, as the dark wolves had taken Anyu's life and soon would take his as well.
It is believed that he became his name, the Raven, by giving Anyu wings to fly once their spirits merged together after death. He always dreamed that his son would one day attempt to follow in his paws, but he never expected him to become the hero everyone knows him as. Thanks to Anyu/Aniu's power and their form as a Raven, Tulu was able to help guide his son in the wilderness to reunite him with his daughter that was destined to return to the world of the wolves.
