Siblings: She has eight other siblings, but I won't create them. They will be mentioned in the fanfic, but are not important.

Personality: Hateful / Resentful of everything and everyone, due to her childhood circumstances. She can be sarcastic and often says hurtful and scathing things.

History: Ikari was born the last of the litter, number nine. All her siblings were born in the night, but Ikari came almost a full day later, late evening. And that evening there was a Red Moon.

A Red Moon is a bad sign; It can mean bad luck but it is also believed as the day/night that Demons are born. Ikari is seen as a bad sign and some even fear that she may a demon, especially since she has red eyes and was born so much later than her other siblings.

Creatures born under a Red Moon are to be named a bad or nasty name as a warning. So she was Ikari which means Hatred.

Growing up was hard for Ikari. Most Pack members didn't trust her and some even whispered "Demon" whenever she passed by. Her father rarely looked at her or even acknowledged her presence and she was forbidden to play with her siblings, for fear that she would cause them harm.

Only her mother, Kasha, defended her and tried to love her, but even Kasha couldn't hide her wary eyes whenever she saw Ikari's eyes. They were unnerving.

The turning point in Ikari's life -the point where she changed and stopped being affected by what others said or did- came when she was seven months old.

The forest they lived in caught on fire. Ikari was alone in the forest when it happened and as she tried to outrun the flames she got struck by a falling, burning tree-branch on the right side of her face, leaving several scars. The branch also got stuck on her ear and as she struggled to free herself from the burning branch she pulled off a part of her right ear. 

Kasha, Ikari's mother got injured and trapped. Ikari saw this and went to get help. She found her father, Rael, and quickly brought him to where her mother was. Kasha was saved and they ran back to the rest of the Pack, where suddenly Rael blamed the fire on Ikari. Kasha defended her daughter, but Rael was convinced that Ikari was truly a demon and had intended to kill them all. Kasha is furious and points out that Ikari saved her, but Rael cuts her off saying HE saved her, even tohugh without Ikari he wouldn't have known that Kasha was in danger. Rael even shouts "Demon" at Ikari and most of the pack agree with him.

Ikari, hurt beyond comprehension, runs away from the scene. She finds a place to hide and lets herself cry. But soon enough the tears stop and her hurt changes to anger and resentment. From then on, she becomes cold, hateful and resentful. Nothing anyone says or does affects her anymore other than to make her angry. Whenever anyone enters her personal space she strikes. In no time she alienates herself further. But that suits her fine, cause the moment she was old enough [two years old] she leaves the Pack and becomes a lone wolf.

Ikari meets Dwaine on her travels, a rather simple-minded [bordering on stupid] wolf, who has no problem following her around and doing anything for her. She allows him to stay because subconsciously she is lonely, but she tells herself she'd like a willing "slave".

She gets separated one day from Dwaine and ends up in White Mountain and eventually Nome, where she meets Balto and his family. She gets captured by the humans and while she is stuck in Nome, she gets to know Balto and the other animals in Nome better. She even falls in love with Kodi and vice versa.

Kodi seems to be the only one to get through to her and after a heavy confrontation that leaves both injured, Ikari finally allows her walls to break and accepts Kodi's friendship and love.

But then, Dwaine arrives in Nome searching for his girl, who isn't really his girl. Being so simple-minded, to him travelling together translates as "Being Together" and he's too obsessed and stupid to be persuaded otherwise.
