History: Born in Canada, he lived near the Alaska-Yukon Border. When Matt was still a pup he wandered out of his Pack's territory and got lost in the mountains in Alaska. After about a week of wandering he met the whitewolf Aniu, at first Matt was scared stiff seeing the ghost of a wolf but after a few minutes he calmed down. Aniu then asked the pup what he was doing out here alone. Matt then told the White wolf about how he wandered too far away from his pack and got lost. Aniu told him she would take him to someone who could help raise him. Matt then agreed to go with the white wolf.

After about 2-3 weeks Matt and Aniu reached the town of Nome. Aniu told Matt where he could find someone who would help raise him, Aniu told the Young wolf Good bye and that he would see her again someday, Aniu then disappeared in a gust of snow. Matt started heading for an old Boat where he met Boris a russian goose who also asked the wolf where his family was. "Canada" replied Matt, he then again told the story of how he got seperated and ended up all the way in Nome Alaska leaving Boris slightly confused. "Do not worry I'll will take good care you, I just hope you're a better listener than Balto."said Boris. Matt started smiling at Boris "My name's Matt. What yours?" Matt asked. Boris then told Matt about himself.

As the months passed Matt befriended other dogs such as Kodi, Kirby, Dusty, and Ralph. He managed to get himself a spot in Kodi's mail team and also managed to find himself a new home in an abandoned Shack just on the edge of town. Boris thinks that the reason Matt is accepted by the humans in Nome is because he has a bit of malamute in him. He occasionally gets dragged into arguments with Ralph and Kodi over who Dusty loves more.
