Personality: Nathaniel is wise and brave, but not very strong due to old age. He can be startled easily because he is blind and his hearing is not what it used to be. Nathan usually relies on his sense of smell. He is rather friendly and not too hostile towards loners, housepets or rival packs. Sometimes he likes to tell stories to the pups in his pack, stories of his adventures when he was younger. He is pretty much useless in battle and he knows this, and so he is rather submissive when he knows he can't win. Although he won't try to start a fight, his stubborness sometimes leads to them but he won't fight unless he has to. Nathaniel is respected like most of the pack elders.

History: He was born in a barn, when he was old enough to travel his mother took him and his brother into the woods. She was killed and so Nathaniel and his brother Ash had to join a wolf pack that resided near by. He was made a battler while his brother was made beta, then finally alpha. He was jealous at first and went off on his own to take down a great bear that had been terrorising some of the wolf packs in the area just so he could prove himself. Unfortunately he lost his sight in the battle and the pack arrived just in time to rescue him. After that he stayed back at the densite and settled for the job of healer. When he grew too old he chose a younger wolf to take his place and he went to join the elders.

Other: He is blind and his hearing isn't too good.

Relation to Balto: He is Balto's half brother and son of Aniu. He is also uncle of all Balto's pups.
