Relation To Balto universe: Presently lives just outside of Nome with his owner and several other Siberian Huskies...is Togo's half-brother (through their mother, Dolly).  Often assists Togo in leading Seppala's teams, and is an experienced, dependable leader.

Story: Fritz lives in the kennel of Leonhard Seppala, one of Alaska’s greatest mushers.  He is the half-brother of the famous sled dog Togo, and younger by a couple of years.  Unlike his half-brother, he is a purebred Siberian Husky.  He is tall and lithe, and is capable of great speed and endurance in running, whether on a team or out on his own.  His coat is of the “saddleback” pattern, being mostly cream-colored with brownish mottling on the back and up the back of his neck.

Fritz is a bit of a loveable, mischievous rogue at heart, with a laid-back, rather blasé approach to life in general and the occasional sharp-tongued retort.  His penchant for mischievous pranks and humor has sometimes landed him into trouble with some of the dogs in Nome, but he is generally liked, or at least otherwise tolerated, in part because of his more famous half-brother, and because of his owner.  But he has also proven himself to be a stalwart, dedicated member of Seppala’s dog team, and worked his way up the ranks quickly enough to find himself running just behind Togo…a position of respect.  Whenever he is harnessed and running with the team, he becomes very serious.

These wonderful images were created for this fan character by CatWhoHas14Tails, based upon actual photographs of the real Fritz, whom this character is based upon.  If anyone would like to see photos of the real Fritz to compare to Cat’s images, I would be happy to show anyone who PMs me.  She did an amazing job!
