Personality: Almost always happy, Shadow loves to make those around him feel the same.  He is very outgoing, and he would be quick to give up his life for a friend. 

 

Likes: When Whisper calls him by his nickname, Ace., being with Whisper, working hard, winter.

 

Dislikes: Ice, when anyone steps on, sits on, or bites his tail, and seeing Whisper be sad.

 

Background: Shadow was the only pup born to his parents Spike and Meeka, who valued him above anything else.  Spike was a great sled dog who fell for Meeka, a beautiful little husky on his team.  A few months later, Shadow was born.  His favorite thing to do when he was a puppy was to play on the beach with his parents. When Shadow turned a year old, his parents wanted him to be on a sled team.  There was a race that month for all the yearlings and the 4 fastest dogs would get to be on a team with Balto's brother, the racing legend Tyler and a super-strong sled dog called Chester.  Shadow came in first place and Tyler was very happy to have him on his team.  When Shadow was harnessed on Tyler's team for the first time, he was hooked side by side with Whisper, a female husky his age who had taken 2nd in the race. Now Jake is good friends with Whisper, and he enjoys the company of all the other dogs on the team.

 

Relation to Balto:

Tyler, the lead dog on Shadow's team is Balto's brother.  Balto likes to hang out with the dogs on Tyler's team, especially Shadow.
