Birth Place: Eska was born in Nome, was adopted by her girl Nika and her family. They live two doors down from Rosie. Nika is ten years old and adores Eska.

Dislikes: Being treated like a puppy by her older siblings.

Fears: Losing her family (like all dogs)

Adoption story: Before Eskas’ eyes were open she knew that she belonged to Nika. Rosie came running down to Nika’s house yelling…The puppies are hear! Nika loved dogs but her mother and father said that she couldn’t have a dog until she was older. Nika was very sad and said that she would come with Rosie to see the new puppies but she wasn’t going to get attached to any of them. Once at Rosie’s house Rosie took Nika to the back bedroom where Jenna and the puppies were. They were so cute; beautiful. They were all different colors of red and brown. Rosie told her to pick one up Nika was hesitant but couldn’t help herself and  quickly scooped  up the only pink nosed puppy in the litter and hugged the pup close to her face feeling the warm fuzzy fur. Then Eska kissed Nika’s nose and from then on they were inseparable…but there was a problem… Nika’s parents had said that she couldn’t have a dog. Rosie saw the tears pour from Nika’s eyes and she said that she shouldn’t cry… Nika’s daddy came into the doorway…… Is that the one you want? Nika looked up from Eska’s tear soaked fur at her daddy and she started crying even more. You mean I can keep her? Nika’s daddy nodded… you have to care for her, feed her, walk her, potty train her, and she can come home as soon as she can leave her momma. Rosie and Nika squealed with joy and Nika kissed Eska’s pink nose and put her down with Jenna and the other puppies. Then walked home with her daddy, that night Nika had dreams of her little pink nosed puppy.
