Charmcaster is born a few days before Esmarelda was.She grew up with her, as a babysitter and  older sister. Esmerlda would oftedn go out and  get into trouble so that is why, Charmcaster ends up protecting or saving her life. But one day while her mother got attacked and killed by a bear, Charmcaster knew it was her duty to protect her younger sister and raised her since their father wasn't around.Even though their mother is usualy busy with her alpha duties, she does care for her pups,Charmcaster is like a second mom to Emma, who helps watch over her and spend time with her so she won't feel so left out.

Emma accidentally wandered too far and bumps into an uknown pup named Balto(who is a wolfdog).Balto offeres to be friends with her as she accepts and ends up playing with him. But as .Charmcaster watches Emma play with a unknonw wolf pup, making her feel at unease at first but later  finds out that is is Aniu's son, which Aniu used to be friends with Emma and Charmcaster's mother so she lets them hang out togethe. Boris eventually caatches up to him/takes Balto hom so he cold make sure that he is safe and sound.
