Personality: Dog with a temper and attitude. He's often mean and aggressive, but is indeed very kind and sweet to little puppies. He can be a total bad-ass and a total sweetie. He dislikes to do something important, or help anyone in particular, but would do it if it's really that important or if the one that needs help is from his relatives.
History: Born with his sibling Ranger. They were kept by his first owner, and their life was perfect. When reached 1 year old, after Ranger was put on a sled team, Tartu was taught about herding and kept as a herding dog, cause his owner had a group of sheeps, and didn't  have a suitable job.

Few months after his brother's mysterious dissapearing, Tartu was adopted by a man who lived in Nome. Tartu was kept mainly as a house/guard dog, but sometimes helped police too.

After 2 more months, in the outskirts of Nome, he saw a pup together with a goose. Pup looked just like Tartu's brother, Ranger. After some thinking, Tartu realised that it was his also long-lost nephew, Ranger's son.

Tartu walked up to his nephew, now with a name of Balto, and told him everything. Balto told him his story, how his father left him, how later Aniu, White Wolf female, found him and raised him together with her real son Johtaja, how, when Aniu's brother Nava was choosing a heir for Alpha position, Johtaja led him to trap and got rid of him, how he ran off and found Boris, and how they came here.

Tartu was surprised and at the same time happy that his nephew was alive. He led Balto and the goose named Boris to an old, abandoned boat, and told them they can live here. Tartu frequently came back, bringing them food.

After few years, when Balto was already grown up, Tartu had an argue with a dog that was much bigger and stronger than him. It led to a fight. Tartu was badly hurt, and suffered in pain for few months. Then his owner realised that Tartu's pain couldn't be healed. He then put him to sleep.
