Name: Rosewood
Number: 2 Siblings: Red Robin & Riina Gender: Female Parents: Benson & Vita Personality: Fiesty and playful, she enjoys being around those whoa ccept her for who she is instead of her appearance. She has a lazy eye, which makes her quite paranoid of what other's think, but she's starting to get over it, understanding it's what's inside that it important. She has a huge heart and hates to see others in pain, but when she gets upset she can often say hurtful things as a lasting defense mechanism from when she was bullied for her eye. History: As a young pup, she knew that her mother felt slight distress at Rosewood's lazy eye. The young pup didn't let it bother her to begin with, she was just like any other pup then; just wanting to play and have fun. When it came time for them to be adopted, she was picked by a young French girl who and recently moved to Nome and had no friends. She wanted to adopt a puppy because she knew that they'd be immediate friends and she wouldn't have to be so lonely. She picked Rosewood because she felt sorry for her having a lazy eye. The young pup happily went home with her new owner and didn't mind being shut in the house for the first couple of months while she got used to her surroundings and owners and was taught the basic commands. She missed her siblings and mother a lot but her owner (named Jasmine) gave her constant attention so she wouldn't be unhappy. Rosewood finally was able to go outside, where she met some of the dogs of the 'outside world'. To begin with, she couldn't understand why they laughed at her and became upset and frightened. She ran back home but day after day, Jasmine continued to take her out so that she'd get used to the outside. Rosewood hated it and became very self-conscious, keeping her head down a lot. She eventually met Pester, a kind young dog around her age. Pester chatted away to Rosewood happily, confusing Rosewood. She finally snapped and asked why Pester was disgusted by her lazy eye. Pester only responded that it doesn't matter what someone looks like on the outside, it's how good their heart is. After this, Rosewood started to accept herself more and became very good friends with Pester. Rosewood also began to stick up for herself more. She was there for Pester when she was used and abandoned by Mr.Wheeldog (he's unnamed) and accepted her wholeheartedly when Pester admitted that she was in love with Morning Glory (another female). Even after Pester got together with Glory and had a son from Mr.Wheeldog, Rosewood stayed extremely good friends with her. It was because of Pester getting with Glory that Rosewood met Hawthorne. She first spoke to him when she went with Pester to see Glory at her house (Glory was sick), where she lived with her brother. Rosewood felt a little uncomfortable about going with Pester but it didn't last when she started talking to Hawthorne. She enjoyed his company while Pester was with Glory and agreed to meet with him so they could hang out. The day after, she was on her way to meet him when some bully dogs started laughing at her. She ignored them, holding her head high, but they attacked her to get a reaction out of her. Hawthorne arrived right as they had her pinned and was making fun of her. Because of his huge size, he chased them away from her and made sure Rosewood was ok. After that, they became inseperable and fell in love with each other. THE END xD Relationship with Vita: They had a good relationship before Rosewood was adopted. Rosewood felt very close to her mother and would often leave playing with her siblings to snuggle with her mother and keep her company. She sensed the slight awkwardness of Vita most likely being worried of what others would think of the pup but she kept a smile on her face to show her mother that she loved her. What you plan to use the character for: Mostly drawings/renders and possibly a fanfic if I get round to writing any. She will also become the mate of my character, Hawthorne. Other: Has a border collie build. Wears a pink collar. She is distantly related to Pester; her great-grandfather (Steele obviously) is the brother of Pester's great-grandfather (Lenny). She also has somewhat short legs, although it could be said she got it from her border collie side.
Relation to Balto: Great-grandaughter of Steele.
