Personality: Malachite is usually very friendly. He likes being around others and is very sociable. He loves a laugh, but tends to tell jokes which make no sense to anyone, apart from him. He may appear very dumb at first, but is very intelligent deep down. He likes to hide his intelligence because he thinks no one will like him anymore. Malachite is very easily pushed to do something stupid and tends to tag along with anyone who he looks up to (or down in one case.) Malachite likes to hang around with smaller dogs most of the time because he feels it gives him authority and makes him feel more powerful. Feeling powerful is important to Malachite, because he is a little bit of a wimp in some cases. He's very immature too. He's your type of guy who would say "Girls are icky." He simply doesn't like them. However, when he becomes older, he finds himself being very shy infront of females who show any sort of intrest in him, as he has little experience.

History: He was born an average size, and has always been pretty average. As a puppy, he had a great bond with his brother, Garnet and because their looks were so similar, it was always cute to see them playing together. Malachite was always a very sociable pup, he loved to talk and ask questions to his parents and he loved to play hide and seek with Clover too.However, he was constantly having arguments with Pearl as the two used to disagree a lot. Malachite was usually the one who would start an argument, usually about something stupid like 'who got the most food.' When he was given a new home, he was sold to a single mother who's husband died in an Avalanche. She wanted company and so decided to get a dog. Malachite grew a huge bond with her little boy, Joseph, who was 4 years old when they bought Malachite. Malachite and Joseph played together all the time. They were truely best friends and Malachite was allowed to sleep at the end of his bed too.

Aswell as this, Malachite was trained very well at his home. He was, and still is very obidient. He would bring home wood for the fire or give a letter to the post office. His family really treasured him and saw him as part of the family.

When Malachite was about 4 months old, he started to go to do more things on his own, because Joseph was being home-schooled during some time of the day. So Malachite started to go around the town, trying to find new friends to play with while he owner was being home-schooled. One day, while walking past the post office when he saw a young looking, short, red-ish coloured male dog sitting outside, waiting for something it seemed. Malachite wandered over to see what he was waiting for. The dog said he was waiting for Mel, an old dog who lived there. Malachite introduced himself and the dog said his name was Levi. Levi was around 14 months old at the time, much older than Malachite. The two became best doggie friends, despite the age difference and when Mel died, Malachite was there to comfort Levi all he could. However, Levi wanted to be alone for awhile, so Malachite went to see Joseph. When Joseph was at school and Levi was busy, Malachite would go and visit his parents and Clover. Jade and Kit were always glad to see their son and Clover liked to see her old 'hide and seek buddy' again. She loved to play around with Malachite because she could act herself around him because he was her brother after all.

Although his life seems good and pretty much perfect, that changed when he was 11 months old. He and Levi were out in the woods by 'Bear Rock.' (or whatever it's called xD) The two had been chasing geese for a while now and had had a good laugh. When they were starting to make their way home, they heard loud snorting and rustling in the shrubs and trees. The deep breathing was getting louder and Malachite started to get worried. They both suddenly heard foot steps on the rocky path. Out of no where, a large male Caribou appeared. His nostrils flared and tense muscles. Behind him, the two dogs saw a couple of Caribou calves and many females. Malachite and Levi started to run, they were only young and so couldn't defend themselves. The male caribou caught up with them and cornered them. He reared up, as he brought up his front legs, he caught Malachite's eye. Malachite yelped loudly, the two dogs ran away as fast as they could, but Malachite's eye was bleading from a cut above his left eye. They managed to escape and Malachite allowed Levi's owner to clean the wound, as he didn't want his own owners worrying. Malachite and Levi forgot about goose chasing for a while.

A few weeks after, Malachite was introduced to a female Basenji called Erin by Levi. She had also been a friend of Mel's and Levi wanted to get Malachite into females more. Malachite liked Erin and the two became great friends. Levi, Malachite and Erin started going round togethr as a little gang. Malachite begins to like Erin more, and the two always joke around and make fun of eachother for a laugh. Levi and Malachite start talking, and Malachite lets out that he likes Erin. Levi is thrilled that his plan worked, and Malachite and Erin become and 'item' if you get me >3 However, Levi had actually grew very fond of Erin too, and was jealous of Malachite and Erin. Levi, being the uncaring guy that he is, told Erin that Malachite had laughed and joked about her height. Late that day, Erin confronted Malachite. He was very puzzled, and later upset when Erin broke up with him for Levi.

Malachite was quite a loner after that, and he went to his parents for advice. His father told him to tell Erin what he thought Levi had said, maybe she would see the truth. Just when Mal was going to leave, he noticed Clover and Utah sitting together, Clover looked utterly distraught. Malachite asked her what was wrong, and she told him about how her mother died and how Jason had made her pregnant. Malachite, couldn't believe it. For a while he just sat next to her staring into space. Wondering how a dog could do that to Clover. Clover burst into tears. Malachite felt awful, and gave her a gentle nuzzle under the cheek. He had no idea what to do. He wished he was big enough and brave enough to confront Jason.

After, talking to Clover about Jason, Malachite felt very down. He couldn't believe something so awful had happened to his sister. As he walked back home, he thought about his father had advised him to do about Erin, he wanted to tell her what really happened, but when he suddenly spotted her, she stared at him for a short while, then snorted, sticking her nose in the air and walked off by Levi's side.Upset, and very disappointed, Malachite walked slowly home. He hoped playing with Joseph might cheer him up a bit.

Many weeks later, Malachite had gotten over Erin, and gained back some of his confidence. He was older now, and after making a new friend in Floyd, and Giant Schnauzer mix (who was older than him), learnt to admire the females around him. He and Floyd were always going to race on the beach and watch the annual sled races. Malachite shew Floyd his dad running, and Floyd suggested that Malachite should try to get on the team. Malachite wasn't at all pleased with this suggestion.

One day at the races, Malachite met a Seppela Sled Dog/Siberian Husky, called Hattie. Floyd nudged Malachite over to her and the two began talking. Hattie was a comic, funny dog and Malachite was completely smitten. However, Erin soon came over, and was not imprssed. She had recently split up with Levi, who had told her that he had lied to her. She came over and started to try and impress him, and to win him back. Malachite just stuck his nose in the air, snorted, and he and Hattie walked away, leaving Erin alone to feel sorry for herself.

How he/she feels about their parents: Malachite always loved his parents. He loved to muck around with them and loved to jump on Jade's back and roll off. He had a stronger bond with Jade then he did with Kit and the two liked to do guy stuff like running about in the rain or playing chase against the girls. Around Kit, he acts much quieter but loves to snuggle up to her when it's cold. He loves his mother of course, but Kit sometimes feel she's more of a cushion to him than a mother (which Malachite proved wrong when he was a bit older, as he visited his parents, he always talked to Kit a lot and the two some times had a bit of a play around.)

How he/she feels about Clover: Malachite had a fantastic bond with Clover. He loved to play hide and seek with her and play anything actually. He loved to be around her, and when he was very young, he used to follow her around, wanting to play. When he did get a bit older, he didn't follow her around, but loved to play with her still. He feels terrible for what happened to her (the 'Jason' incident) but he never speaks about it infront of her, as he is worried he'd upset her.

Other: He doesn't wear a collar becuase he hates it. He finds it weird wearing one, but his owners make him wear one if he goes outside. Also, as he gets older, a certain female helps him to like females, and he falls for her.
