Personality:  Azure ‘s very shy and quiet; she hates being left alone and she’ll do anything to be in a group. Because she doesn’t talk much, many others believe that Azure’s mute. She loves to sing when nobody’s looking because she thinks her singing isn’t good enough, but Frostbite thinks otherwise. Azure also acts a bit puppyish when hanging around Auburn.

History: As a young pup, Azure never knew anyone but her parents and her biological sibling Marsh; she had no idea that her stepfather was Niju. To her, Niju and everything about him was evil. Later in life, Karimah had to expose Azure to the truth, that she and Marsh weren’t her only children, and took Azure and Marsh to meet their half siblings. The meet didn’t turn out for the worst like Karimah thought it would, instead her seven pups grew to like each other very much.

When Azure turned a year old, she was living in Nome with Auburn, her second eldest stepbrother. He took good care of his stepsister, who he referred to as his baby sister. The two acted like they were from the same little and not born three years apart; Azure loved staying at Auburn’s abandoned house on the outskirts of the city. Even though the old raggedy house got cold all the time, the wolves loved it. Once when Auburn was out hunting, Azure went out into the city, something that her brother forbade her to do without an escort, to watch the sled races, which was something she and Auburn always did. The young wolf managed to get to the race just before it began but she was nearly ran over because she was still on the track; the sled dog’s leader, Frostbite, had enough time to swerve around her but he crashed his team. Frighten at this point, Azure ran away and back home where an outraged Auburn was waiting for her; she didn’t have to ask: Auburn had come home early and seen his sister gone and panicked. But he didn’t seem that mad until he asked Azure where she’d been, that’s when his anger flared up.

Two days after the track incident, Azure asked permission to go into town. Auburn hesitated but finally gave in due to his sister using the puppy eyes. Azure ran into town because she wanted to see Frostbite again; his gorgeous ivory fur and gray markings. She came upon him and a small group of dogs, probably his sled mates, walking and talking loudly around the general store. Azure hid behind a few buildings and watched Frostbite, just the sight of him made tingles of excitement run up and down her spine. Then she started singing love songs softly to herself. But she’d been so busy imagining her and him together and singing that she didn’t notice that the group had split up hours ago. Gasping, the wolf whirled around and stared right into the emerald eyes of Frostbite. Embarrassed, Azure turned to leave but Frostbite stopped her and asked for her to sing again. Blushing uncontrollably, she sang again and, much to the encouragement from her crush, sang loud enough for him to hear. Frostbite said that she had a very lovely voice and that he was very sorry about nearly running her over. Azure said that it was OK and that she had to go home because he brother would be worried about her. Frostbite said alright and that he’d see her around.
